Summary
Padmé Amidala is excited to begin a new chapter of her life at college, far away from her overbearing family. She is planning these four years as an opportunity for self-discovery and new experiences. She expects everything to go exactly according to her plans just as her life always had. She is going to college to better herself intellectually and get a degree in biomedical sciences, in the hopes of going to medical school one day.
Everything is mostly normal until she begins to develop a crush on a certain boy: Anakin Skywalker, someone she'd never thought give a second glance her way.
Anakin is a junior (third-year) who happens to be one of the most-- if not the most-- popular boy at the school. It seems everyone has a story to tell about him, mostly rumors of his numerous flings. He's a member of Epsilon Phi Sigma, and to Padmé's annoyance is all her friends ever talk about. He seems to be everywhere she looks, despite the large number of people on campus. And since he's always on her mind, she struggles not to become obsessed with him

In a kingdom far, far away, long, long ago, King Howard Stark's greed and hubris causes a war that ends with the destruction of not only his own life but also your parents. Something about her innocence should put him off, Spooky thought. This girl had looked so down earlier, full of discomfort and false bravado. Now, her lips were stretched into a smile and her eyes were outshining the sun and it made him want to smile with her. He knew he shouldn’t care, but she was a part of this community now; the big, dysfunctional family that was Freeridge. That made her Santos responsibility.
He took on a lot of that responsibility. Because he was their leader, and that meant it was on him to keep the neighbourhood safe and the Santos in line.
“You’re sweet, Spooky.”
She said his name as though she were challenging him. Maybe, to her, the words were true. He could be sweet when he wanted to be, and right now, with her, he wanted to be. It was nice to stop being Spooky - the tough, responsible gang leader - and just let himself be Oscar.
