Summary

When Blaise fell ill, writhing restlessly in his bed late at night, Ron tried to help him. He was baffled when his and Ginny’s presence slightly soothed Blaise. Hermione quickly figured out that Blaise was coming into a creature inheritance, and his mate was from the Weasley bloodline.

Or vice versa, do all Slytherins sign a paper banning them from starting a charity or giving out magical apples from their garden? Poisoned apples only? What seemed like ages later, the rip-mouth opened, and the Hat announced deafeningly, ‘SLYTHERIN!’
Blaise could swear his brows had left the Earth’s orbit. He failed to choke back a startled laugh.

It is a tale that starts with one Ron Weasley, though he is but a single variable in a long equation. At times, a small unorthodoxy is enough to open eyes and crack age-old foundations. The question is whether the eyes will stay open to see the ugliness emerging through the rifts, or squeeze back shut lest the unveiled is too hard to face.
