Summary
As he rounds the side of the house, taking a moment to admire the plain, albeit extensive grounds overlooking a sweeping view of the lake below, he becomes aware of the figure of a large, imposing looking man standing on the veranda, smoking a pipe.
An Alpha—Jihoon’s nose is quick to inform him, moments before his other senses go on high alert.
His first thought is to throw himself in the bushes and hide, but he quickly realises that is, one—beyond childish, and two, completely pointless, as there is no possibility the man has not seen him, or perhaps scented him in turn. Instead, he schools his nerves and continues down the path toward the front door, reminding himself that he has, after all, been invited.

It’s pouring like crazy, which is the ideal weather for pack cuddles, as everyone knows. He’s halfway there when he hears distressed meowing coming from an alley. Being a cat hybrid himself, there’s no way Yoongi can just walk away without investigating, and what he finds is a tiny, drenched cat trapped in a drain pipe of all places. Bringing the poor animal home is a no-brainer, and it's only when the cat is fed, cleaned and dried that Yoongi realises his mistake.
He didn’t bring home a stray cat, but a homeless omega hybrid.

Jin-ho grins, tossing aside his crumbled-up coaster in favour of his beer. “I have a potential client who needs round the clock protection for his son, but my men are a thin on the ground right now, and I don’t want to just put anyone in there. I need someone I can trust.”
Seungcheol grimaces, running his thumb along the condensation on the side of his bottle.
“I don’t think I’d be very good with kids.”“He’s not a kid. He’s actually a very mature, very responsible twenty-five-year-old. A little spoilt, I won’t lie, but he’s also quiet, smart, and more than pulls his weight when it comes to the family business. He doesn’t go out looking for trouble.”
“What does he need a bodyguard for then?”
Jin-ho looks up briefly, and then away. It isn’t like him to be skittish. “He’s an unbonded Omega.”
Seungcheol curls his lip, nodding, “Ah, so Daddy’s worried about the wrong kind of Alpha sniffing about.”
He supposes that makes sense; a sensible investment if you've got the money. Except...what the hell made Jin-ho think he’d be the right kind?”

Jihoon doesn’t know any tattoo artists personally, doesn’t recall ever stepping into a tattoo parlour either, and according to his bank account and the contents of his wallet, he’s not paying for this service, so whoever this person is, they’re spending a lot of time doodling on him for free.
Which is weird, whatever way you slice it.
There’s not much he can do about it though; it’s not like he can visit every tattoo shop in the area and be all like ‘Hey, did you doodle on me with a sharpie?’ so he’s just going to have to live with the knowledge that he’s harbouring a secret tattoo desire and resolves to stay home on the weekends.

Summary
Seungcheol smiles then, just a little bit, eyes briefly skirting over Jihoon’s face before cutting back down to his lap.
It brings Jihoon to mind, strangely enough, of the giant Bull Mastiff he once pet sat for his old neighbours, which had a vicious reputation in the neighbourhood, when in fact, it was the quietest dog ever. Never barked or growled, just followed him quietly around the apartment and wagged its tail whenever Jihoon told him what a good boy he was.
Seungcheol is a good boy too. The bestest, actually.
Jihoon would happily pet sit him…if that was, you know, a job that was actually available.
Being his handler is probably as close as it gets.

Jihoon has no idea what he should be doing here.
If the Bureau has a Standard Operating Procedure in place, to direct him on what to do in the extremely unlikely event he crash lands on a deserted island with a highly dangerous criminal, he’s never read it.
Other than sit tight and wait for rescue (and keep an eye on Seungcheol in case he somehow succeeds in building a raft and rowing away) he’s at a loss.It certainly doesn’t help that Seungcheol doesn’t see himself as a prisoner, and thus fails to subscribe to any of the typical prisoner behaviours one would expect. Sure, he might fashion himself a wicked looking knife out of scrap metal and leather, spend an hour sharpening it while he stares menacingly into the middle distance, but then he’ll go use that knife to make Jihoon a parasol out of palm tree fronds and insist he sit under it because—
“No offence, but you’re paler than a daikon radish. Until we get our hands on some sun block, you need to stay in the shade. In fact, here, take my shirt.”
It seems stupid to stay on your toes around a guy who is literally prepared to give you the shirt off his back.
