Summary
“You don’t really want to buy curtains, right?” Emmi asks knowingly when II fingers the material for one of the dark blue, black-out curtains.
“No,” II shakes his head. “I want to get III and IV a gift,” he adds.
“What kind? And what for?” Emmi questions.
“Tomorrow marks two years since our first meeting and I want to celebrate,” II smiles at Emmi, but the smile fades a little. “It is also the anniversary of… losing my partner.”
“I’m sorry for your loss,” Emmi places her hand on his shoulder.
“He’s not dead,” II says rapidly, hoping to reassure her. “He just… left.”
Or,
II loses Vessel. Two years later, II finds Vessel in an unlikely place, and has to relearn how to love the one he drifted away from.

Summary
The worst thing about loving someone who doesn’t love you back isn’t the pain. It’s the absence. The empty space where a kiss should’ve been. The ghost of warmth that lingers in your bed because you imagined them next to you. The silence after they say, “You’re one of my closest friends,” like that’s a gift.
II can only smile and nod and say, “Yeah. You too.”
He meant it, at some point. He wants it to be enough.
It’s not.
OR
When II's unrequited feelings for Vessel reach a tipping point, he makes the only logical choice: order a robot version of Vessel designed to love him without question.Bookmarked by teethofgod

Summary
Here’s the thing: Two takes pride in his abilities as a dom, his willingness to hear others out and make them feel good - it’s about the satisfaction, the pent-up release, and more than anything, it’s about the care.
Plus, he likes being one, is really fucking good at it, even before he was being paid to do it at the clubs. Nowadays? Two just does it for fun, for himself, and while he still does the occasional stints at underground gigs or sex parties, Two’s happily settled into post-dom life.
Vessel though? He has the kind of gravity that just… pulls Two in, even that first time they met. Jesus wept.
Two's fucked.

Summary
"Maybe we should put you in a collar too," II contemplates, "What do you think, beloved? Would you want to wear a pretty collar like IV? Be a good, little pet for us?"
All six of Vessel's eyes snap open wide. "Yes," He says, "Yes, I'd like that, I'd wear a collar. I wanna be good for you."
