Summary
If those of rotten hearts dress themselves in finest silks, if those who are blind are able to see light clearer than those with a sharp gaze, then these mortal eyes must be unsuited for the 'romance' that her family once strove for. The 'romance' that Aglaea still believes herself to be lacking in, and that she hopes she'll someday fully embody.
Slowly, with shaking hands, she reaches out with one hand to clutch the scissors in her palm: one of the blades clutched improperly as a handle while the other juts out like a sacrificial knife. Her eyes fall closed as she holds it aloft and takes a deep, shuddering breath.

Summary
Fire.
It had always been a part of Elizabeth, even when it wasn't quite yet; embedded in her blood ever since she could remember. It coursed through her veins where adrenaline failed her, cauterising wounds that should have bled her dry. It burned in her lungs when she could scarcely draw breath to sing, cleaving a path for her voice to escape until it rang raw in her throat and cracked. It staved off the ache in her heart as it carved itself out into something tangible: manifesting as a blue flame that blazed from the center of her chest.
The fire was proof. Proof that Elizabeth was human, and so, so much more.

Summary
A story about two people. One who loves loudly, openly, without reservation or remainder, who built an entire world out of the belief that love given freely comes back to you multiplied. One who loves in the margins of sketchbooks, in careful watercolor wash, in the exact weight of a puppet held just so, in every drawing she has made of the same face for fifteen years without once writing down why.
A slow story. The slowest kind of love story, the kind that has been going on for so long that neither party has the correct vantage point to see it clearly. One of them says I love you the way other people say good morning. The other one has a whole internal document about why that doesn't mean anything specific.
The document is wrong.
They will figure this out.
Eventually.

Summary

Gold City returned to modeling after a nasty bout of colic forced her to end the time she had on the racetrack. Something she enjoyed more than anything else, now gone. But with Tracen behind her, she has returned to her old profession with a vengeance, and quickly became not just Japan's most in demand uma model, but top models in general. It's then that her manager suggests flying over to New York to give the American market a shot where she will be under the wing of an old friend of his. But it's only when she meets her new photographer that Gold City has to learn a few new things about herself. Things that she may have buried at the time, but come roaring back.
