Summary
"What's happening?" asks the lone Raiders fan that Shane has found himself next to, a young woman with St. Simone on the back of her black and gold jersey.
Her friend, a handsome woman in Metros' blues, explains, "Une malédiction. A curse." Her Québécois accent lifts the ends of her sentences into a lilting melody.
"Oh." The Raiders fan frowns, concerned. "Does someone have it out for Hollander? Shouldn't sporting arenas be protected against that?"
Her friend laughs. "It's Centre Bell itself who has it out for Hollander. You've never heard the story about the TD Garden trying to eat Magic Johnson?"
Or; The Bell Centre carries a hundred years of hockey and all of its grudges. Ilya must traverse its depths to save Shane.

When Ilya agreed to let Shane adopt a cat to join their family, he did not expect Shane to fall in love with a hairless cat named Pork, the fattest, meanest, and ugliest creature that the shelter had to offer.
And he certainly didn't expect for Pork to be his sworn nemesis.

Summary
You do not have to be good.
You do not have to walk on your knees
for a hundred miles through the desert repenting.
You only have to let the soft animal of your body
love what it loves.
Tell me about despair, yours, and I will tell you mine.
Meanwhile the world goes on.
Meanwhile the sun and the clear pebbles of the rain
are moving across the landscapes,
over the prairies and the deep trees,
the mountains and the rivers.
Meanwhile the wild geese, high in the clean blue air,
are heading home again.
Whoever you are, no matter how lonely,
the world offers itself to your imagination,
calls to you like the wild geese, harsh and exciting—
over and over announcing your place
in the family of things.— Mary Oliver; Wild Geese
Or; Family is inherent to orcish blood. Fjord might come to learn this later in life, but he learns it full and well, all the same.

Summary
When he looks up to check if anyone noticed, Hayden has put his phone away and his eyes are trained on them, arms crossed together.
Hayden is still watching them, and Shane feels his blood turn into ice-sludge when he realises that Ilya is pushing inside him steadily enough that anyone can see how their hips move into each other. Shane stares back. Hayden’s eyes trail down from his face to where Ilya’s hand is visibly on Shane’s waist under the blanket, and—Shane tightens up enough for Ilya to double over and muffle a groan into his neck.
And Hayden’s eyes are still on them.
A beat, then two, and a wicked look takes over his face before he mouths: Having fun?
Shane is horny. Ilya provides the perfect solution. Hayden is just here for the show.

Summary
“It’s not that I just—I don’t know how. I’m not like… attracted to them. I don’t know what to do,” Shane admits. His cheeks warm right on their peaks. Ilya laughs again, loud and barking. “We had sex twice. And I’m not sure either of us… you know… came either time.”
“I could teach you.”
“What?”
“I said–” Ilya leans up from his spot on the couch, nearly crawling atop Shane. He grins down at Shane. “I could teach you how to make a girl cum.”

Ilya gets Shane off like he's a girl.

Summary
Five years ago, Shane Hollander and Ilya Rozanov quietly went their separate ways. They handled their heartbreak differently. Shane cut off his family and friends and focused only on hockey, not that it helped, his game has totally fallen apart. Ilya had the support of the Centaurs, even if they didn't know why they were supporting him.
But when Ilya announces his retirement at the end of the next season, it shakes Shane back to reality. He has one season left to play against the man he still loves; and then, would he ever see him again? As Shane starts to piece his life back together, the biggest missing piece is still Ilya.
Ilya had planned to just enjoy the last season he'd play of professional hockey and obviously try to win another cup. But when Shane reaches back out, he has much more to consider. He never expected to talk to Shane again, but he can't deny that it's everything he's wanted in the last five years.
Can they salvage what they had? Should they even try? How can Shane and Ilya be a part of each other's lives again?
