Apollo Stellaris would do anything to protect his family. This becomes a dilemma when he and his younger sibling, Artemis, are chosen for the Hunger Games. Now he has to choose between himself and Artemis, and either way, it would be hurting their older brother, Atlas.
Resh Corvus has never liked hurting people, especially not those younger than him. When he’s chosen for the Hunger Games alongside Juniper Aquila, who he’s seen as a younger sister all his life, he knows he’s dead. But he needs to protect Juniper, at all costs. He didn’t quite know what those costs would be, though.
When the two of them meet in the arena, they strike a deal. They’d help each other out, and in turn, help protect their younger counterparts.
Unfortunately, things don’t usually turn out the way you want in the arena.
