For the veteran hunter Pearl, the scarlet moon portends a dire change as she begins to recall memories that aren't her own. Memories of another life, another time, when she was ostracized and abandoned by the people she held most dear. People who are here in Oakhurst.
With the vampire threat still looming, Pearl's bonds will be put to the test as she fights against her own mind to keep a bloody history from repeating itself. -

Summary
The Doctor's heart was pounding. Louis had not ever heard someone sound so afraid before, but Louis could not think of why. Could not think of the blood on Owen's front, the red staining his teeth as he hissed a deep guttural growl at the Doctor, pale and ill looking and trembling with leashed violence.
"Owen," Legundo said, still gingerly kneeling, holding both his hands up and releasing Louis to do so. Louis was too tired after his previous struggle to reach Owen, could not take advantage and go to his love like he wished, but he called instead. A high pleading chirp that had Legundo flinching, although he did not turn to stare at Louis like he had before. He, like Louis, was not taking his eyes off Owen.
Owen, who was across the room from them. Surely if this was a dream, Owen would come here, he would not leave Louis cold and alone and hurting.
"Owen, I am not hurting him, please—"
"You're not leaving this place alive, Doctor. You've made a mistake, coming here, you and Avid both."

Summary
It has nearly been fifty years since Legundo, doctor and unwilling vampire, died in Oakhurst. A man with his face and voice and the same bloodied past finds himself once more drowning out the ache of violent memories at the first bar he finds. He isn't expecting to see a familiar face, not that he can say why the crimson garbed stranger is familiar in the first place. Legs doubts he could forget a face as pale and perfect as a marble tomb effigy and eyes like a fresh wound.
Scott, for his part, cannot resist toying with the spitting image of the doctor who hated him like no other. His promise never prevented him from being a nuisance, after all.

Summary
“Let me guess. Body horror.”
There was a delicate eyebrow raise. “Impressive guess.”
Lance offered a halfhearted wave to Keith’s SAW T-shirt. “I’m sure you sit in your cave and drink blood and think of all the ways a human body can break in half.”
That earned him a smile with teeth. And yeah, sure, Lance could see what James found attractive. If he squinted. Chugged more wine.
“And I’m sure you spend your time thinking of the least outrageous age gap you can have between your love interests.”
Lance’s eyes narrowed.***
If you were to consider some towns sleepy, then Luna Falls spends most of the time snoring. The only time Luna Falls wakes up is while it hosts its annual writer retreat. Aspiring authors from all over the United States travel to New England for the three week seminar, gunning for a publication deal awarded to one lucky writer. Lance, a Luna Falls local, has spent his entire life preparing, saving, and writing. He joins the fellowship of writers in hopes to not only leave with publication prospects, but to also show the power of the commonly underrated romance genre. Imagine his displeasure when a brooding horror writer steals the spotlight right out from under him.
