The room goes quiet immediately, all faces turning to Shane in shock.
Hayden's the first to react, scrambling up from his stall, eyes wide. "Shane? What's going on?"
"I just wanted to see if any of you were willing to talk? So quiet on the ice today. I thought you'd have things to say to me, all things considered." Shane sweeps his gaze over his former team, uses his disappointed-Captain-voice and feels a smidge of smugness when it clearly hits them as it always has. "So say them to my fucking face, not behind my back."

"They're all going to know," Shane protests, blushing and struggling lightly against Ilya's grip.
But he's not really trying to get away, so Ilya shuts and locks the bathroom door behind them, pressing his husband up against it firmly.
"No, they will not." Nobody had seen them come this way. Ilya kisses Shane, desperate and rough, like he's wanted to since the game ended and Shane looked his way, triumphant victory on his face before Haas crashed into him for a celebratory hug. Shane is gorgeous like that, drunk on victory on the ice, sweaty and happy. When Ilya pulls away, Shane is breathless and his mouth is red and wet. "Not if you are nice and quiet."

Summary
A hand grasped his arm, sending a brief thrill down Merlin's nerves as he was forced around to face the person behind him. Armour gleamed in the firelight: supple chainmail glinted, and the solid iron of a pauldron curved lovingly over one broad shoulder. The length of a sword blade separated them. The point hovered, steady and sure, over Merlin's heart, braced to run him through, but he did not care about any of that. He was too busy drinking in the sight of the man before him.
He could never forget him, no matter how many centuries had passed.
