Summary
Just days out from his heat, Jason has a revelation that sends him on speeding towards Roy and Lian's apartment. (It's a revelation that's been waiting for years, and he's an idiot, but he's not enough of one to make Roy wait longer.)
It's only the fact that he desperately needs to stop for gas that takes any detours.
The child at the gas station changes everything. (The child reeks of abandonment, of sadness, and pain, and Jason could never leave him behind.)
