Tim barks a humourless little laugh. “Why would I have done that?”

“What are you— would you stop trying to hit me?” Dick snaps.
Jason laughs, bitter and sharp. “Remember all those times you tried to beat the shit out of me whenever I upset Timbers?”
“You mean those times when I totally did beat the hell out of you?” Dick says, rolling his shoulders like it's nothing.
Jason ignores that. Of course he does. Always has to act like he's better.

They park, and Jean clenches his hands around the wheel. Neither alpha moves to get out of the car, and Jean speaks.
"You will listen to what the Master and Riko ask of you. You will not talk back, you will play the position assigned to you, and you will do it well. You will not—" he risks a glance over at Nathaniel, quickly cuts his eyes forward again when he sees blue eyes shining back at him, "You will not cause any problems. Any failure on your part will be construed as a failure on mine. We are," he forces the sentence out through clenched teeth, "partners."
Jean's time in the nest has been punctuated by various tragedies: his presenting as an alpha, Riko's own presentation, Kevin's and Nathaniel's departure. He'd thought that Nathaniel leaving was the worst that could happen--that is, until he returns for Christmas break.

Summary
Kevin remembers warning Jean off of men by using Jeremy’s story. He remembers killing his own attraction where it grew. He remembers staying awake at night, silently trying to carve the love out of him with Riko just a few feet away, asleep. He remembers using Thea in an attempt to fix himself.
All of that was for nothing, because now Kevin is sitting between Jean and Jeremy, who are together. Sitting in front of Jean, and struggling to breathe normally with his body so close, radiating heat like a neutron star, a hand always moving back to Kevin’s hip. All of it was for nothing, because Jeremy is right there, so competent and strong and fucking kind. He won’t stop checking to make sure the ropes are comfortable, glancing up to smile every few moments like Kevin is even worthy of it.

There are many similarities between what Jean and Neil have, and what Kevin and Jean have.
Neil has a list:
1) Kevin and Neil can both speak French (Even if Kevin is on a French ban at the moment)
2) Kevin and Neil both spent time at the Nest with Jean (Kevin for longer, Neil more... trauma-forward)
3) Kevin and Neil are both Strikers to Jean's Backliner
And some more things Neil can't be bothered to list. All in all, Neil doesn't have much he shares with Jean that the Frenchman doesn't share with Kevin. But the things they don't share are more in Kevin's favour.
1) Kevin and Jean speak Japanese
2) Kevin and Jean share the trauma of living under Moriyama rules for multiple years
3) Kevin and Jean have known each other longer
The list goes on. But it's that first one that is the catalyst for Neil's pity party when the Foxes head up to California for a friendly get together with the Trojans. Will Neil be able to realise what exactly is the problem? Will he be able to sort it out before others take notice?Series

Summary
Sometimes Jeremy forgot that being a Raven didn’t only mean pain and abuse. Living in such close proximity with Jean, doing what little he could to soothe some of the lingering wounds of Jean’s trauma- it all left Jeremy really only equating Jean's time in Evermore with the horrors. He knew, of course he did, that Jean was a phenomenal backliner- likely the best in the league. He knew Jean’s work ethic was unreal and his inborn talent essentially made him impossible to play against. Still, somehow he never really considered that there was still a core of his playing that was Raven even after he’d broken free of his instinct for dangerous plays.
Jeremy has the opportunity to watch the remaining members of the the ' Perfect Court' play together. A mostly introspective character/ relationship study of Jean, Kevin, and Neil.

Summary
Jean accepts Neil and Renee’s offer to join the Fox line after Riko’s death. At first it seems like a good idea despite his conflict with Kevin, but then Jean shuts down and doesn’t let anybody in. Except for Neil.
With the understanding they have since Neil’s stay at the Nest, they make a silent deal to go through this together. Neil makes it his goal to bring Jean back, hoping perhaps the dislikable boy he once knew is still there somewhere.
