He kisses the torn lobe of Essek’s ear where Jester has healed it closed; he’ll need to pierce it again sometime if he wants to replace the earring. Caleb thinks this, and moves to kiss his neck again. “But I am going to find it hard to sleep if I don't feel you next to me tonight.”In broad daylight, Essek is attacked. Essek Week Day 6: Tower.
Essek and Caleb are busy running an ever-growing academy. It should not come as a surprise that they forgot they were supposed to announce their engagement to their friends, or to actually plan their wedding.
"I mentioned our engagement, and Beau seemed... surprised. Is she the only one you forgot to tell?"
Caleb tries to turn around immediately, but Essek doesn't let him, softly makes him get back in place so he can continue braiding his hair. "We did not exactly have a traditional proposal," Caleb starts. "I kept thinking that I would tell them when we had a date, at least an approximate one, but then the talks about it stopped and I...worried you had changed your mind."
Essek lets out a chuckle. Relieved, embarrassed. "I have been doing the same thing this entire evening."
