Summary
Aiden is waiting for Lambert in a forgettable tavern in the middle of a forgettable town. After clearing out a whole nekker nest, the one thing he wants to do before sleep is have his Wolf back in his arms again. After they've slept, they can get out of this hellish place.
As he's waiting for Lambert to return from the alderman's house with their bounty, he hears a bard take to the stage. Taverns mean noise; noise that he's not against, perse, but noise that he blocks out all the same. Until he hears the bard say some choice things about the esteemed White Wolf.
And his interest is piqued.
