It was a relatively peaceful afternoon for Darius. Hunter was residing at Camila’s for the week, along with Luz and Amity. Emira and Edric were out on a camping trip with Alador, who had promised to spend more time with them and kept his word.
That meant that Darius was alone at home, free to do whatever he wanted. He’d decided to put on a face-mask and lounge about on the couch, perhaps watching Freaky Fraturday, a movie that Luz had been ranting about every time she visited the Deamonne-Blight household.
He realized that none of those plans would come to fruition the moment his doorbell rang.

Amity supposed she should’ve been amused by the irony of it all.
Back before the reformation of the isles, before the liberation of the witches, back when she was under the cage her mother had shoved her into, she was the one to stress about small tests and group projects. She was the one to stress about the consequences of disappointing the ones around her if she didn’t prove that she was worth something.
Luz was always the one to snap her out of it with her strange situations and relentless optimism.
That’s exactly why it was so ironic yet tragic for Amity to walk in and see Luz hunched over the kitchen table at 11:45 PM, head in her hands. She looked about as good as Amity felt seeing her in this state.

Maybe if the video ended there, Shane thought, it would be okay. Okayish. Still incriminating. Still a fucking disaster. Still embarrassing, to have his breakup with this beautiful actress filmed and disseminated on Reddit of all fucking places, but not a nail in his coffin, burying him alive. But the video didn’t end there.
“Can I ask if you’ve ever been with another guy?” she had to ask.
And he, tears visible in his eyes, had to nod.

Why did he have to nod?
“Have you ever told anyone that before?” He shook his head. “Was it different? With a guy?”

Summary
Shane's breath catches on a sob, and he muffles the sound with his hand. Everything feels like too much. He’s naked, and he can feel entirely too much on his body, inside his body, and he hates how it's starting to feel gross. His head is pounding, and he can't even focus on placating his mind when his lungs are also screaming in his throat for breath.
Ilya hears, and his hands reach out to hold Shane, tension lying in every part of his body. “Shane—”
“Don't touch me,” Shane snaps, more desperation than yelling as he rips his arm out of Ilyas's grasp. His tears have nowhere to go now, and they finally spill over, hot and humiliating, down his cheeks.
Ilya freezes in place, hand hovering mid-air. A myriad of emotions flicker across his face: confusion, hurt, fear. Ilya takes an unconscious step back like someone shoved him. His body curls in on itself, trying to make himself appear smaller.
He looks... terrified. Like, Shane just called him a monster, and he believes it.
OR: inspired by the fight in the long game when ilya had told shane he could have sex with other men because he did not believe in cheating.
