He leans back, the only thing stopping him from falling is his bindings. He laughs as tears run down his face, and soon enough his laughter turns into full body sobs. His screams are entirely different than before, these have a sadder note to it, like you’re hearing the cries of someone who’s about to die or who has long since been dead. Really though, when you think about it, isn’t he both? His cries somehow occupy the entire room, echoing out into the halls, ensuring everyone is a part of his despair.
His pain is so loud he doesn’t hear freedom walk in, but that’s okay; freedom waits for those who are too hurt to know it’s an option.

Summary
Even if he was starting to get familiar with his classmates scents, he still never took off his blockers. Letting others smell him felt vulnerable in a way that he didn't feel often, if ever. Sure, he wanted to be a part of whatever his class had going on, but the idea of people being able to know how he was feeling from a single whiff scared him more than he would admit. The thought of letting himself relax enough to do anything like an omega—scenting, nesting, biting—was also fairly stressful.
Shouto doesn't know how to act like a pack with his new class. When his first heat hits, he doesn't know what to do with himself. (aka: he's ashamed to be an omega, but his class (especially Bakugou) helps him adjust!)
