Summary
It wasn't just the Hales.
Packs all over the world were being wiped off of the face of the planet. Hunters sought genocide for supernatural beings.
Survivors were few and far in between, often left feral and a danger to the supernatural community.
The imbalance awakens the Nemeton, and before long, humans become obsolete.
Mutations, imperfections run rampant. Biological designations manifest. Alphas are rare but lethal, powerful. Betas are majority, with only minor physical and magical gifts, but they have the most immunity to supernatural maladies. Omegas were the first to be targeted by other supers, rumored to be extinct, magical powerhouses with the most visible and easily exploited weaknesses.
So no. The Hales were not the first, but they were what's left.

Summary
Izuku looked up, bloodied hands and lips numb from his mumbled, fevered prayers. He's spent every day the last twenty weeks on his knees in hopes that something, someone would answer him. Looking up at the halo of blonde was near blinding, but Izuku still managed to catch a glimpse of the man’s narrowed red eyes.
“You’re supposed to be an angel," Izuku mumbled numbly.
“I was one,” the figured whispered in reply.

Summary
May dies after a long drawn out battle with cancer, leaving Peter both in debt, and in trouble. Unbeknownst to Peter, May has one miracle left in her in the form of Tony Stark. She calls him up, and her last words are, “Love him better than you did me.”
Peter is whisked away in a fairytale like fashion, quickly forming a familial bond with Vision (Tony’s adoptive son - biological son to the late Jarvis), and soon has to contend with the romantic complications of being involved with the intense Wade Wilson (Tony’s biological half brother - son of the late Howard Stark), the gentle affections of his long time best friend and childhood crush, Harry Osborn, and the insidious and malicious attentions of a twisted Quentin Beck.
All while trying to dodge the minefield that is Tony Stark himself.
Right. Piece of cake.

Summary
To be clear, Ilya is grateful the rookies aren’t growing up the way he did in the NHL. Ilya took the hazing to the chin – humiliation rituals, beat downs, grueling practices to prove he could “hang” with the big guns on the team.
That being said, there’s still some part of Ilya that balks at the request by the gaggle of rookies to watch The Iron Giant, a veritable children’s movie at the team’s latest movie night.
OR: Five times Shane and Ilya were the support system for the Centaur rookies they dreamed of having when they were younger.

Summary

Shane put his head between his knees and tried to breathe. God, Boston. They hated him there; it was so far away; he was fucking their captain.
