Ben pinches the bridge of his nose. “I probably shouldn’t suggest this but…”
“No! Please do,” Rey rushes to encourage him.
“Well… I could give you a physical and sign the form. I’m authorized to do so."
"“Perfect!” Rey clasps her hands, “That’s perfect."
Ben grabs another sheet of paper and flips it over to the blank side. “Can you write a statement or something? Like I’m not forcing you to do this against your will or anything. Not to be funny—”
Rey grabs it out of his hand, not wanting him to change his mind. She writes up a very professional-sounding disclaimer and then signs and dates it.
Ben looks at it—smiles—and sticks it with her paperwork.
