Summary
Bucky has been trying to move on from his actions as the Winter Soldier, as well as everything he did to try and make up for it. He knows that he has no right or responsibility to stop his friends from digging any deeper, and that at this point he'd be powerless to help anyway. And he really, truly, does want to live in peace. But after a public incident brings attention back to his ex-team, he realises that nobody else can tell what's really going on behind the scenes, and suddenly Bucky's decided he has no other choice than to return to the Thunderbolts' headquarters. Even if all he can do is watch.
