Summary
Wind had been used to passing spirit's and having them pay him no mind. The ghosts of this era didn't see him like he saw them, and they could hear him little. But this one... when Wind looked, this one looked back, it's eyes a piercing blue. It was a stark contrast to the blood and dirt that littered its form, from it's pale hair all the way to its bright blue tunic.
"You can see me," it said. And he could.
Where Wind meets a fallen knight in a lonely field, a hundred years after it's demise.

Summary
They were 10 when it all started. Lessons and meals were interrupted almost consistently for an entire week, with her brother being the reason why. Dizzy spells, shocks of pain, trouble breathing for short periods of time. Once, she had sworn she saw something white glinting against his skin.
They were 15 when her brother was seemingly on his deathbed, and when her father had whisked him away, and she had just turned 16 when her father returned home. Only a few days after had her twin brother opened his eyes for the first time in months. Something twisted in her gut, something vile.
His eyes were a different color.

Summary
Riku wanted this moment. He wanted to mourn, he wanted to remember. He wanted to hold his best friend's hand until his joints could no longer move. He wanted to grieve in a place where nobody could see, where nobody would tell him to get up and move on. There were few chances he got to otherwise.
The sky was starting to get dark. Soon, Riku wouldn't even be able to see Sora's face. Perhaps that was a blessing.
It had been peaceful, this time. As peaceful as it could be, anyway. If Riku shut his eyes tight, he could still see Sora's smile, and hear the calmness in his voice as he said "it's okay."

Summary
The sword had split him in a way that nobody could ever truly understand. Nobody knew what it felt like to be ripped apart, for the pieces to be glued in a mocking sense of what they used to be. Of what he used to be.
Maybe nobody would understand exactly what he had been through, and what he had become. But there were exceptions, and there were people that knew what it felt, even if it wasn't quite the same.
"You didn't know what you were supposed to be." Four finished. Wild sighed, a mirthless laugh interrupting the quiet.
"It's weird, isn't it?"
Four shrugged. "Not to me."

Summary
The sun peaked through the trees, showering his skin with warm kisses. The birds continued to sing, and the road stretched ahead of him, beckoning for him to come closer.
There was nothing he could do about being whisked away somewhere new. He was alone in a new, unfamiliar place, but that wasn't exactly new, was it? Standing up, Link dusted off his clothes. Get to walking, he thought. Get to walking, just as you've done a hundred times before. You'll be okay.
And walk he did.
