Summary
The reasonable thing to do when you get flung three years into the past would be to sit down and think things through - make a plan.
Fuck that noise - the Z-Team doesn't make plans. They have one (1) future dispatcher and current
disasterhero to find and bully into taking care of himself and one (1) statistics-obsessed, jackass supervillain to murder and leave in a convenient ditch. Easy, straight forward - no problem.Robert would really appreciate it if someone would explain to him what the hell is going on.

Summary
Dawes 'Rook' Mercar has long accepted that his life would be a grueling and bloody-knuckled fistfight. He dreams of a new Imperium, of slavery abolished, of the Venatori eradicated; but his blind vengeance for the murder of his mother muddies the waters of his intentions.
A chance meeting six months ago delivered him Scout Lace Harding, and impossibly, a reminder that goodness can still be found in some hearts. While he works through the brambles of his own mind, he asks her, selfishly, to wait for him.
In the throes of the Sixth Blight, his traitorous heart has other plans.

Summary
“Caduceus,” he says, voice clipped and precise. “Caleb is critically injured. Magical contamination. We need you. Rexxentrum. His home. Now.”
The silence that follows is unbearable.
Then the answer comes - quiet, steady.
"I'm on my way."
Essek begins counting.
Not seconds. He is not that optimistic.
Heartbeats.
If there is no arrival by sixty, he will tear open space and bring the healer here himself.
Essek watches Caleb’s chest rise and fall and feels the night expand around them, vast and patient.
This is not the vigil he prepared.
This is something else.On the longest night of the year, Essek plans a quiet surprise: a Zemni Long Night Vigil, researched and arranged down to the last candlewick. Caleb comes home late, as he always does - just not under his own power.
With an artifact’s hungry remnants still tangled in Caleb’s magic, healing becomes dangerous, and the only thing left to do is keep watch until morning.

When two neutron stars orbit each other closely, they spiral inward as time passes due to gravitational radiation. When the two neutron stars meet, their merger leads to the formation of either a more massive neutron star, or a black hole.

The dark side clings to his former Padawan, and what happened in the Temple remains uncertain. When faced with a truth more terrible than he could have ever imagined, Obi-Wan chooses Anakin, even in his darkness. He cannot lose him twice.
But darkness is generous, and it is patient. -

Summary
He leaves him an opening to back down, a talking point to change. This one Essek doesn’t have to guess, Caleb told him that a myriad of times – with me, you do not need to do what you do not want – the statement echoes in his head, and he knows that’s true.
And yet, it would be anything but fair.
“I never told you what happened to my mother,” the words come out of his mouth, but they don’t feel his; he doesn’t want them to feel his.
“I never asked.”
He never did, as courteous as he is, as kind and thoughtful.
“Perhaps I want you to.”As Caleb learns to let go, Essek desperately tries to forget.
