Despite being beaten down by the people around him since he was five, Midoriya Izuku still wanted to be a hero. He was just a quirkless kid who wanted to help, so he tried to do what most children dream of. Though as smart as one may be, brains can't beat force alone. As creative as one may be, he is no rich heir with endless cash flows to fund that creativity. As strong as one may be, he was just a kid.
Fighting the world was never in his cards, and once they had him beaten and arrested, the world changed him forever.
Now? He wouldn't let them get away with it.

Sure, there was still crime and much to rebuild, but with significant foreign assistance, this let UA and its staff finally get back to doing what it always did best. Teaching. Though despite all their work, despite all their strength, a student slipped through the cracks during their struggle with the League.

Summary
After gifting Shadow his den so he has somewhere safe to stay while on the run, Sonic promises to keep his fugitive identity and their growing friendship a secret so he can protect him. Meanwhile, the Wachowski's are under strict orders from G.U.N. to report any sightings of Shadow's whereabouts and are totally clueless to the stowaway hiding in their back garden.
However, Sonic’s plans to keep both sides of his life from colliding are dashed when Tails finds out he’s been sheltering Shadow, and now it’s only a matter of time before the rest of the family catch on, too.
Sonic is faced with the option to come clean and betray Shadow’s trust by admitting everything to his family, or jeopardising Maddie and Tom’s livelihoods by staying silent and deceiving G.U.N.
Unless, or course he just maintains a perfect balance without letting his two lives overlap. That should be fine so long as he can keep his (probably, maybe, definitely romantic) feelings for Shadow under wraps.
What's the worst that can happen?
