Summary
Despite working at virtually the same desk for the past four months, Daphne realises she doesn't actually know as much about Junior Detective Lev Ozdil as she maybe should. At least, she'd gotten in with Karadec and Soto in basically half the time. She isn't clueless, though: she knows her desk mate always arrives on time with his morning coffee, knows he might still be just a little scared of Karadec, knows that the photo is his wallet is one of him and his dad. She knows he's committed, and friendly, and well suited for their team.
He's always 'happy to lend a hand', even if she hasn't had any reason to avail of that offer yet outside of their Karadec-instructed cross-referencing of case notes. It's kind of a shame, really. It'd be nice to have an excuse to just talk.

Summary
The feeling of relief that passes through Karadec when he sees Ava on the swat team’s camera doesn’t last long. Mostly, because even if she’s no longer missing, even if she won’t get shot as long as she stays at Daphne or Morgan’s side, he knows exactly what Morgan must be thinking, because he’s thinking it too. Even if they’re together, they’re still in there. In there with the unsolved case and the bomb.

Welcome to Lamplight, a DnD/Fantasy Third/Last Life Renchanting AU. Ren is a god stuck in the form of living fire. Martyn is his sole follower. Martyn and Ren help free one another from imprisonment by the Watchers and are now traveling the world on a two-man adventure of fond companionship and occasional arson.

Grian’s eyes narrow, his mouth twisting with hurt. He has to know, right? He has to know what he did to Scar every time he came home flushed and giddy, every time he made some vague excuse and waited for gullible old Scar to swallow it.
Scar is sick of being gullible, sick of being even-tempered, sick of being soulmates.
Or: Grian dies far apart from Scar, alone, but maybe Scar will forgive him anyway.

They slumber on even as Grian’s nose almost bumps theirs, wings fluttering to keep him aloft as he bends and turns.

Lizzie shook her head. The image in her mind was like a dream, shimmering and transparent, thin as gauze. She had to hold it in the corner of her mind in a bubble, and if she thought about it too hard, the bubble popped. Then she had to wait until she had some idea of what she was searching for again, and the last time had taken hours.
The thing she needed was sick or needed protecting— round or squirmy— gasping for oxygen his malformed gills struggled to filter or no, that wasn’t it, it was small and smooth and hidden in the weeds where they decayed, smeared with silt and barnacles and painted ever-so-carefully to look like a harmless, inedible rock.
It was hard to focus on. She knew it as a tightness under her breastbone, a stinging in her eyes. As anxiety that clouded her mind and urged her back, back, we have to hurry. It had been too long. She had been gone too long.
