Summary
The station was literally just a single platform, and they were the only two people who got off the train. Suguru’s parents were stood waiting for them and the moment Suguru was off the train they both smiled wide, genuine smiles.
Satoru watched as Suguru jogged over to tackle his mother in a hug. His father ruffled his hair and put an arm around his shoulders.
Suguru’s mother peered around Suguru and noticed Satoru still stood at the edge of the platform. The train had already pulled away and honestly he felt like dropping down onto the tracks to hide. Maybe he could sneak away?
This was a bad, bad idea, he realized. He shouldn’t have come. The pit in his stomach that had appeared while they were on the train instantly gaped open into a canyon under her kind eyes.
But it was too late now.

After the dust settles on the Star Plasma mission, and after Suguru is coaxed back from the brink, he invites Satoru to join him at his parents' house that summer.

Summary
Satoru feels dead, most nights. For three long, excruciating days, Satoru is dead to the world. Again. No stupid and embarrassing selfies, no long texts about whatever show happens to be on at the dorms, no late night calls to talk about deeper shit he wouldn't be caught dead saying in the daylight.
So, it continues: three days and nights longer than the ones before them, Satoru Gojo is dead. The only sound from him is, of course, silence. Geto mourns him without knowing what to call it, and nobody seems to care. This new normal— silence. Like the phone call. Like his texts. Silence. Worse than death. An unknown with a dreadful probability sealed to it.
Geto's phone rings at three am of the third night and fourth day.
Suguru and Satoru are summoned home for Winter Break. Unfortunately for them, being each other's excuse to stay at Jujutsu High and with Yaga's ruling to go home, both are forced across country from each other. Until Gojo goes missing before he can even step off the train-- radio silent for 3 days until he appears just 2 miles from Suguru's home covered in bruises and falling apart at the seams.
