The thought of not being in control of a certain outcome was something Alastor just couldn't stomach. There was too much at risk, if he fucked up.
Which only meant Lucifer's suggested solution was absolutely insane. To claim that Alastor needed to become willingly unwilling? It wouldn't work at all.

If Tim had known what Jack actually had in mind, he would have at least mentally prepared himself... then again, there's no way he could have prepped his mind to hear the words 'take off your clothes' from hiss boss. Whom he also sort of hated.
