Summary
There are some instincts Atsushi knows are because of the tiger, like that time he ate a bird and got grounded for traumatizing Tanizaki. Then there are some that he has a little more difficulty differentiating and recognising as not traditionally human. When his instincts start telling him to lick his friends to keep them clean and happy, he doesn't question it as much as he should. It's not like he hears complaints.
Or
5 times Atsushi groomed his loved ones and one time he got brushed.

Summary
“I don’t know, I don’t think it’s a very good idea to give Akutagawa a love potion, even as a prank,” Atsushi says. Dazai-san shrugs.
(Or, Dazai convinces Atsushi to give Akutagawa a love potion, and Atsushi’s confused why Akutagawa acts no differently.)

‘Is this your first time getting a tattoo?’
‘It is.’ Atsushi confirmed. ‘I’d-…I’d like a scar cover-up.’
Then the boy slowly turned around, and took off his shirt.
Akutagawa’s breath stopped for a good ten seconds.
The scars on this boy’s back spoke of cruelty and torture; revealed the darkest parts of this society on a single human body.
‘Sorry, it’s not quite-…well. I understand if you’d refuse, really…’ Atsushi stammered, turning around.
‘No.’ Akutagawa brought out. ‘I’m going to give you that tattoo.’

Summary
"You'll have to forgive Atsushi here," Dazai says in a singsong tone. "He's suffering from a temporary bout of memory loss. Atsushi-kun, this is your partner, Akutagawa Ryuunosuke."
His partner?
Out on assignment with Akutagawa, Atsushi gets hit by an ability that causes amnesia.
When he wakes up, he has a lot of questions.

Summary
It can’t end like this. Atsushi has mere minutes left, maybe less, and he can’t die listening to Akutagwa’s scolding and insults. Comfort has never come easily to Akutagwa, but he has to try. Atsushi deserves that much, at least.
But Akutagawa can’t think of what to say. He can’t tell Atsushi that it’s fine, that he’ll be okay, or any of those trite, hollow reassurances. It’s not okay, and perhaps it never will be again — not without Atsushi.
In his last moments, bloody and painful though they are, Atsushi deserves better than lies. So Akutagawa instead settles on the deepest truth he knows. Perhaps, here and now, the only truth.
“You can’t die, you useless overgrown cat,” Akutagawa snarls, half-choking on a sob. “I love you, so you can’t die. Not when I love you.”
Thinking Atsushi is dying in his arms, Akutagawa confesses his love, knowing he’ll never have another chance.
But of course Atsushi, always the thorn in Akutagawa’s side, does something wholly unexpected.
He survives.
