Summary
“Because,” Dick says simply— softly— “you’re my brother.”
Jason’s jaw clenches so hard he hears something crack— maybe a tooth. Maybe his patience.
“Oh, go fuck yourself,” he mutters, turning away, pacing a few steps just to get the hell out of Dick’s line of sight. The dumpster. The blood. The reek of Gotham rotting around them— all of it is easier to face than him.
But Dick still doesn't move.
“I’m not—” Jason starts, waving a hand angrily at himself as he whirls around, facing Dick again. “—your brother. I’m not Tim, I’m not Cass.”
The words come out like claws. Like he’s ripping them out of his own chest one by one so Dick can see the mess underneath.
“I don't— I don't exist in that family,” Jason says, voice shaking slightly. “No one’s thinking about me. They’re thinking about the dead Robin. The dead son. That’s who they miss. Who they prefer.”
He laughs, sharp and empty.
“Not me. Not some fucked up version of the one they missed. I’m not… I’m not anyone to them. To you.”
Jason doesn't believe in second chances.

Summary
He’d bled out. He knew he had. If the batarang didn’t rip him away from this world on its own, then the bomb should have finished the job, and it did. Jason felt himself slip away. Once you’ve experienced death, there is no mistaking the sensation for anything else. Everything had been carried out the way it was supposed to, so how?
Jason didn’t leave the apartment for nine days. He ate canned ravioli and watched reruns of news footage covering the showdown with Joker, who had landed back in Arkham without a scratch on him. Batman saved the day again, folks. Red Hood was off the streets. Ding dong, the witch was dead.
Most hoped that the Hood was gone for good, either slain by the clown or scared away by the Batman. Either way, good riddance. Black Mask was still alive and kicking, regrettably, the fuckin’ cockroach.
And, more regrettably, so was Jason.

Batfamily Christmas Special
Clark attends the Wayne family Christmas dinner after Bruce gifts his parents a vacation. He’s long since been getting annoyed with Jason’s treatment of Bruce, he understands the trauma - he really does - but firmly believes that Christmas is a time for family.
Jason is just tired. He doesn’t want to get chewed out by Superman. He doesn’t really care what Clark thinks of him.
Clark didn’t mean to stress Jason- didn’t mean for a screaming match.
Bruce just wants his relationship with his son to be stable, and wants his boyfriend to keep out of it.
Still, somehow- perhaps through the sheer will of Christmas alone- it works out, and Bruce and Jason get stronger from it. (Clark remains happily a happy Boyfriend having done a good deed).

"See, Tim?" Jason called over his shoulder sardonically. "Dad agrees with me."
He turned back to his food for a moment before the thought suddenly occurred to him that the Cave had gone near silent. He cautiously glanced back at the others. Alfred was still working away at stitching Tim up. Tim looked a little pale and sweaty, but he was glancing over at Jason with a look that was a mixture of concern and confusion. Bruce was standing stock-still, seemingly staring off into space.

It's hard to keep a straight face at that.
Clark's lips curve into a fond smile as he chuckles and shakes his head, leaning back against his seat, a hand rubbing across the nape of his neck.
"Yeah. Maybe I have. The coffee's great here. And the company is really nice." Clark offers a smile as he meets Bruce's eyes, holding his gaze for a beat too long before returning it to his pie.
He doesn't miss the way Bruce's heart rate stutters at his comment.

He looks up when Alfred clears his throat behind him, "Im assuming there's a reason you're telling us all of this, Master Bruce." He says as he hands Bruce his tea and doesn't miss that Wayne spark Bruce suddenly gets in his eyes, "Ah. Should I bring the notepad, sir?"
"Yes. Thank you, Alfred." He says and looks at each of his kids with a smirk, "I was thinking we should... Have a little bit of fun with this entire situation." He says and his kids suddenly look interested.
"Go on." Says Damian, a childish glint in his eyes that never fails to melt Bruce's heart a little.
"I'm going to keep dropping subtle hints about me being Batman, both in and outside of the costume." He says and nods in thanks as Alfred hands him a notepad and Bruce quickly writes something down, "You can join in too. Either by dropping hints yourselves or..." He slides the notepad to the middle of the table, "...By placing bets on how long it will take Clark to figure it out."

Bruce knows Clark is Superman. Clark has no idea Bruce is Batman. A bet happens and shenanigans ensue.

"I need... I want," Bruce pants, struggling to breathe and talk at the same time, "Fuck me, Clark..."
And if Clark ever had any doubt, it vanishes now. The man beneath him, moaning and twisting under his touch, is Batman.
There's no room left for questions. It's the same voice he heard months ago, pleading in the dark from a faceless man. Only this time, he's the one without a face. And this time, no one is eavesdropping on those sounds, because the one who used to listen is now the one making Bruce fall apart like this.
(Or, Clark thinks Batman has a very nice voice. It's been stuck in his head ever since he accidentally heard him during… sex. There's something about Bruce Wayne's voice that feels strangely familiar.)
