Summary
A series of moments between John and Samuel (mostly) in the basement of the King Solomon.
Most of the stories can be read on their own, but I would recommend reading the others as well. Mostly, because some stories might reference something that happened in earlier stories. Also: I am not Jewish, and while I tried (and am still trying) to educate myself more on Judaism, there might be mistakes in the stories. If you notice that a detail is off or something is just plain incorrect, please do not hesitate to let me know, and I will fix it.
I mostly used this and this webiste for research. If you have any recommendations for other sources, I would also love to hear them :)(I will be very honest, this is just a collection of random scenes my mind came up with and that I somehow managed to beat into the shape of actual stories.)

Summary
"I would have thought you'd prefer me unarmed," he admitted, as ever delighted by Sam's irritation when he dared to be earnest.
"I would prefer if you were able to fight, should it come down to it."
"Would it disappoint you to learn that my noble combat training was utterly perfunctory?"
"It would annoy me," he said shortly, and John beamed.
"Alas!"
"Take it. The sharp part goes into the next man to try and kill you," he grit out.
