The problem is— as it turns out— Maki is a really normal guy. He’s polite, and clean, and he takes all of Harua’s suggestions in stride. When he comes home late, he’s quiet enough that Harua doesn’t even hear him. He’s kind, and devastatingly sexy, and he’s shirtless more often than not when they’re home. He’s a good roommate.
Harua wants to destroy him. He can’t live like this. He’s a principled man, and principled men don’t fall for men that rejected them already. That’s humiliating.

Summary
His first instinct is to call Jake, but Jake’s phone goes straight to voicemail. Then he tries Heeseung, but his phone starts vibrating on the coffee table and the noise seems to alert the children of Riki’s presence. They both stop their shouting and turn towards the doorway, and there’s something about their piercing gazes and pudgy faces that seem…familiar.
“Riki!” the one of them shouts, his voice high pitched and colored with barely suppressed giggles. “Look what Jake did!”
“I didn’t do anything,” the other snaps. “You measured wrong!”
“You meathured wrong,” Heeseung mimics, leaning hard on Jake’s lisp which has become even more pronounced now that he’s a child. Because that’s what’s happening, Riki realizes. His boyfriends have somehow managed to turn themselves into children.
Or: Riki just wants to get his boyfriends back to their normal size, but they are making it incredibly difficult.

It’s simple, really.
There’s what Heeseung and Jake are now: friends, former bandmates, two people who both made the choice to step out of the spotlight, two people that have been sleeping together on and off for nearly a decade now, two people that are almost certainly in love with each other, but still refuse to admit it, still keeping up the same unconvincing game of pretend that they’d started when they were too young to know how it would end – or that it wouldn’t end at all.
And then, there’s what they should be: according to Riki, nothing at all.

Summary
The Orion Nebulas glows brighter than 100,000 suns, and it still wouldn’t be able to replace our Sun. Stars seem to exist close from each other, sharing the same space, and they still will never be able to touch each other. Harua is the perfect person through everyone’s eyes — sweet, caring, full of life and bringer of spring, solar — and Maki is in another galaxy, stuck in winter, still forbidden to try and touch the Sun.
Or, Maki is convinced Harua hates him, and they make up under the stars.
