Summary
“Please-!” Drift awoke suddenly. He was disoriented, the room around him completely unrecognisable in the moment. His spark was spinning far too quickly from the stress, everything seemed to tilt to one side. It was dark. The warehouse was dark. This wasn’t the warehouse. Was this the warehouse? His frame rattled with the echo of pain from the emergence, and-
There was movement beside him.
Without thinking, Drift bared his fangs in a loud snarl and swiped at them.Bookmarked by zombified_queer

Summary
Their hab is quiet except for the air handler. Drift lies still until he's cycling atmosphere slowly again, blinking hazily at all the places that his and Ratchet's lives meet. Ratchet’s data pad left carelessly on Drift’s desk. An anatomical model next to Drift's spiraling crystal sculptures. Decor from a dozen worlds, none of it particularly matching, somehow in harmony. A warm, clean, colorful place for the two of them, filled with tender memories.
Drift can feel that brightness at the edges of his processes, that quiet peace he’s been hunting for. He just needs a little help to get there.

Summary
The picturesque village of Buell, Maine is one of the last in the United States to continue the tradition of the “harvest” or “prosperity” lottery. Its residents insist the lottery makes them stronger, even as condemnation from outsiders grows.
