Summary
This is not the original posting of The Armourer and the Living Weapon. This is a modified version, one which leads directly into Of Gods and Monsters, the side-step sequel that outgrew its parent. As such, it is effectively a prequel.
If you have read The Armourer and the Living Weapon already, the major changes start after Chapter 22, though there are small changes in chapters before that. If you have not, and do not wish to read Of Gods and Monsters, go read the original instead. The ending is very different, and standalone.
Someone had to be the template for Widowmaker, and that someone was an armourer, materials engineer, and former field sniper, all for Talon, named Emily Gardner. She loves her work, just as much her blue counterpart does, and together they make one of the more formidable weapons in Talon's arsenal.
But good things can't last forever, can they?
