Chapter Text

Introduction
This document includes several different sections. The first is general notes, where I am going to talk about the creation of these patterns, as well as some general thoughts. Then specific crochet instructions for creating them. Then a section for each sect and scarf individually which will include more fannish explanations and modifications as well as a material list and individual instructions.
These patterns were created for crochet, however, they might work for any yarn or thread work medium (like knitting or Crossstitch), just make sure that each stitch is roughly as tall as it is wide.
Pictures of the patterns are included in this document, however, bigger pictures and an excel spreadsheet are included in the zip file (which also includes a pdf of this doc) which are likely easier to work off of.
General Notes
These patterns are all made off of a 143”/3.6m x 6.5”/16.5cm template. Thus all the patterns here are approximately the same scarf, just with a different colour pattern. I have made these out of Acrylic because I am not made of money or time to source things and also wanted the specific colours and for the scarves to be functional winter garments. I do have thoughts for “in universe” materials and modifications. To that end, I am using a number of fan canons, including my own to help with the geography of this project. These may not reflect the actual weather or climate of the places the Sects correspond to.
Crochet Instructions
All the following patterns are made for a yarn thickness of 4 and a 5.5mm hook. They are made for single crochet.
For the colour work, the patterns are designed to carry the colours along after they start, dropping them when they are no longer needed in the row and picking them back up when you need them again.

Sect Specifics
The next section includes both the specific instructions for each Sect and the people therein and also my thoughts on how these scarves would be modified to more reflect the Sects they are from, including fiber choice, alternate stitches, pattern modifications, and thoughts on how they would be used.
