Summary
“Watch it Buckley!” Buck sighed and tried not to react to the shove when he closed his locker and followed Smith and Anderson out of the room, trying not to let the emptiness grow inside of him. It was hard though, standing alone against the darkness in his chest. It had always been there, ever since childhood. Having uncaring parents will do that to you. But ever since the ladder truck, the tsunami and then, the lawsuit, it had grown so much stronger. Threatening to swallow him whole. The bomb would have been enough but then he had to lose Chris, and even though Eddie tried to tell him that it wasn’t his fault, he still lost him. He lost his family, and he lost his job. And what did he do to make things better? He sued the city and Bobby. He’d been desperate for sure, but in hindsight it would have been better to just lose his job instead of losing everything.
Summary: Post- lawsuit, Buck get's hurt by two new team members.
