"Why are we here, again?"
Because sitting in the dark with other people around surely brings something that Naoya doesn't wish to remember.
It's a tearful memory alright. That one moment that he shared with Lihito as those bastards Himuro and Kaneda ditched them for a mixer with Tokita and Gaolang. And now he is here again with Agito.
It's not the same with Lihito per se because he is dating this man. But still...
"You watched fireworks with Lihito last year. I don't like that."
"Well, I don't like it either! Himuro and Kaneda ditched us, I already told you that."
"Sit, Naoya."
Naoya frowns. "I am not a dog."
"Please?"
Naoya huffs, but complying.
Somehow he can feel that Agito's smiling, so he frowns less. Agito is sitting like a meter apart from him. On his hand there is a canned orange juice which is ironic to his face and stature since that man Agito can't really drink beer somehow (yeah, he was surprised too). Combination of these things makes Naoya can't really stay mad at Agito.
"When do they start?"
Letting out a sigh and the last huff of displeasant memory, Naoya answers, "They start when they start."
"Is that so?"
"Hmm..."
Agito's hand finds his when the firework starts.
Naoya is not big at public display of affection but he is alright with this much of showing (or not, it's completely dark right now). So he reaches for Agito's hand as they watch fireworks together.
