    Jack was really getting tired of this new aloofness of Daniel’s. It had started not long after Sha’re’s death, and had grown until Jack was feeling downright unwelcome. He resisted the urge to sniff his underarms, just to make sure he was presentable, and instead pretended to ignore Daniel’s attitude.
