Work Text:
It is days like these that were the hardest, being the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of a hospital is almost as stressful as it is rewarding. Most days Jean is tired yet happy, to know that she’s able to help people through the treatment of her hospital brings her much joy. Jean thought she would be used to it by now, but it hasn’t gotten any easier when a patient dies, especially one that’s been in the hospital's care for a few years. All Jean wants to do right now is to be in the arms of her girlfriend and cry, cry for hours on end because it’s her job to make sure all the patients are cared for… that they don’t die, and yet, Jean failed to do just that because her patient died and it’s her fault, she should’ve done better, paid more attention.
Inserting the key with shaky hands Jean twists the doorknob, opening the door Jean walks inside looking around in hopes of finding Lisa. After about thirty seconds Jean finds her in her panic, sitting on the couch watching whatever is currently playing on the tv—looks like some soap opera that Lisa loves making her watch with her, Jean will never tell Lisa but she finds it endearing how Lisa makes her feel like she’s not a burden.
“Lisa…?”
Lisa immediately looks up, probably due to Jean’s shaky voice, and then she’s silent for a bit, looking at the pain enveloping Jean’s eyes, and the tears staining her face.
“Awe, darling, come here,”
Lisa opens her arms, an invitation for Jean to cuddle with her, and Jean isn’t one to turn it down, not in the state she’s in.
“Do you want to talk about it?”
Lisa unties Jean’s ponytail, letting her hair fall down reaching the middle of her back, running her hands through the blonde hair Lisa leans down and kisses the top of Jean’s head. It’s a small gesture but it’s a reminder to Jean that she’s not alone, and that Lisa is right there with her.
“You remember the patient I was talking about yesterday? The one that was in good health and it looked like things were looking up?”
“You mean Teppei?”
“Well, today he died, everything was looking up Lisa! He was looking forward to being discharged after so many years of being stuck in that hospital! He was so happy, I still remember the bright smile on his face… he’s dead now Lisa, he’ll never leave the hospital alive,”
“Baby…”
Lisa cradled Jean's head to her chest, rocking her back and forth, Jean keeps crying, ugly sobs leaving her as snot and tears try to escape. Lisa starts to hum a soft, comforting melody, one that lulls Jean into a state of sleep, archon knows she needs it. Once she is sure Jean is asleep Lisa picks her up and takes her to bed, tucking her in Lisa lays next to her, and soon enough she too is fast asleep, arms around Jean in a comforting hold.
_____
A yawn racks through Jean’s body, stretching as she opens her eyes and takes a moment to wake up, looking around she sees Lisa still asleep beside her, arms still secure around Jean’s wasit. Turning around in Lisa’s hold Jean brushes the hair out of her lover's face, taking in how peaceful Lisa looks like this, a small makes its way to Jean’s face, she really is a lucky person.
“It’s time to get up,”
Kissing Lisa’s forehead Lisa got up to get ready for work, yesterday was so tiring, and only now does Jean remember her lack of dinner the previous night.
“Hungry? I’ll make breakfast, you get ready,”
Jean smiles at that, no matter what Lisa seems to always understand Jean and what she needs, even though they have to keep their relationship secret Lisa never fails to always remind Jean that she loves her. Getting ready isn’t too hard, taking a shower, brushing her teeth, getting dressed, all the basic things Jean normally does. What isn’t normal though is Lisa’s phone ringing, who would be calling her this early? Picking it up the caller id reads: ‘Kaeya’.
“Babe! Kaeya is calling you right now, it’s been ringing for a bit!”
Walking into the room Lisa takes her phone from Jean, but not before saying a quick ‘thank you’ and leaving. Not thinking too much of it Jean heads for the kitchen, already smelling the waffles Lisa has made and the faint scent of syrup melting in with the waffles.
“Looks delicious,”
It was always natural to eat together, so therefore Jean waited for Lisa to return, and when she did they ate. Every so often Jean compliments Lisa’s cooking, saying good it is which causes Lisa to laugh. Trying to explain that all she really did was warm it up on the stove, it can hardly be considered cooking, Jean just gives her a look.
“Last time I tried to cook waffles I ended up burning them, this is real cooking, I consider it cooking at least,”
Lisa can’t help but smile, she really is in love with someone who can’t cook, and yet Lisa can’t find it in her to care too much.
“Good luck at work today,”
With a kiss to Lisa’s lips Jean is off to the hospital, and Jean can guess much like every other day this one is going to be busy.
At the end of the day, Jean is exhausted, however it isn’t the same exhaustion that plagued her yesterday, it is one of working hard and saving people, another patient who was in a similar place to Teppei was discharged today.
“Hey, Ms. CEO,”
Looking behind her Jean comes face first with the voice she just heard, Kaeya stands in front of her in all his glory.
“Kaeya,” Jean nods her head in acknowledgment.
“Don’t be so formal and tense, today is a good day, I say it’s cause to celebrate!”
“If I celebrated every patient then I’d only be keeping more track of the ones who don’t make it, along with that their deaths would be much more sad considering everyone will be keenly aware of it,”
“Lighten up Jean, this party is really more for you than anything else, you’ve been so stressed lately, so Lisa organized this part in orde for you to relax a bit,”
Jean stops in thought, Lisa organized this? That’s so like Lisa. A fond smile gracing itself onto Jean’s tired face.
“Since Lisa organized it it can’t be too bad, I guess I’ll go, when is the party?”
“Well, Ms. CEO, I’m your escort,” with a wink—or what Jean thinks is a wink, can’t be too sure with that eye patch—the two set off to the party.
Upon arrival Lisa takes Jean from Kaeya, guiding her to the back of the room hidden from the public's eye. Lisa kisses her. And oh- did that feel amazing. They should probably stop kissing, people saw them go back there, people are bound to get suspicious. Jean can’t find it in herself to care.
Lisa pulls away from the kiss just enough to say—“I want you to enjoy yourself at this party, okay? I know you’ve been stressed lately, so I thought a night out with some of your close friends would help,”—before going back in for a quick peck, one that even Lisa regrets not deepening, smiling at Jean Lisa guides her back into public view.
Much to her surprise Jean finds herself enjoying the party, the company of her close friends makes her feel refreshed. That is until a certain conversation is brought up by none other than Diluc, Kaeya’s best friend.
“Lisa and Kaeya have been spending so much time together, for the longest time I thought the two of them were dating. (I probably would still think they’re dating if it wasn’t for the fact that Kaeya is seeing someone right now),” The last bits of what he is saying doesn’t reach Jean, or more so she stops paying attention.
Lisa wouldn’t cheat on her, right?
The rest of the party goes by in a blur, so many thoughts and questions were bouncing around in her head.
Do Lisa and her look like that? Do they look like a couple? Or will they forever just look like close friends to everyone? Just because they’re two women instead of a man and a woman, they’re just as much of a couple as a straight one! Then if so then… why did no one think Lisa and her were dating?
“Ready to go?” A voice takes Jean out of her hazy mind, looking up she finds Lisa in front of her.
“Yeah, I’m getting kind of tired,” there is a small laugh at the end, Jean hopes that Lisa can’t tell how anxious she is.
The couple walk home in a comfortable silence, it’s one where Jean can forget about the thoughts plaguing her mind. She can just relax, side by side with the one who she loves more than anyone and anything else. Once home the couple take a shower together, shallow kisses are shared, and hands wander lazily across wet skin. Jean can just forget, and so she does, for a moment she forgets all her worries as she’s wrapped up in her lover’s embrace.
_____
Jean wakes up to the feeling of featherlike touches on her neck, in her tired state she doesn’t register that it is Lisa’s lips gently kissing up and down her neck.
“Wakey wakey beautiful,” Lisa whispers in her ear, lightly kissing the lobe.
“Mm, don’t wanna,”
Lisa giggles, rolling over in which she’s on top of Jean, she cards her fingers through messy blonde hair, a gentle smile on her face.
“You have to if you don’t want to be late for work,” Lisa leaves the bed, Jean following her shortly after in a hurry.
“You don’t have to rush, silly, you still have time,”
Jean looks at her phone and realizes she indeed does have time, taking a breath to calm herself she heads to the bathroom to do her daily routine.
Once again, the sound of Lisa’s phone ringing blares throughout their shared bedroom, looking at the phone the caller id stares at her like a taunt: ‘Kaeya’.
“Lisa! Kaeya’s calling you! … again…” the last part Jean whispers to herself.
As Lisa walks in and takes the phone from her, Jean can’t help but wonder why Kaeya is calling her so early in the morning, especially on a Saturday. Could Lisa be…? No, Lisa wouldn’t do that to her, right?
“Of course not, don't be silly,” and yet, Jean can’t stop the thoughts in her head.
Walking into the kitchen Lisa greets her, kissing her before placing the plate in front of Jean.
“Eat up baby, don’t want you to get too tired during working hours,”
With a sweet smile Lisa sits next to Jean, and they eat their food in a peaceful silence, or at least Lisa would think it’s peaceful. Jean on the other hand can’t stop overthinking, thinking about the ‘what if’s’ and if Kaeya could make Lisa happier than Jean ever could.
“So, what are your plans for today?”
What are you doing? Jean never asks this, or well she does, but not with the intentions she has now.
“I’m gonna hang out with Kaeya today, maybe check up on the library and make sure everything’s in check? Oh, and of course, come back home to my beautiful girlfriend,” Lisa says all that and ends it with a cheeky smile.
Jean can’t help but to laugh, Lisa always knows how to brighten her day, even without her knowing.
“I love you,” Jean says, kissing Lisa goodbye and heading to work.
On the short walk to work more thoughts enter Jean’s mind. Lisa deserves to be with someone she doesn’t have to hide her love for. Being with a man would be so much easier for Lisa, she could show her love to the world. Kaeya could do that for her, Kaeya could make it to where Lisa doesn’t have to hide her love anymore.
Slowly Jean’s thoughts turned away from Lisa cheating—Jean never believed those thoughts anyways, she knew with all her heart Lisa would never cheat on her—and onto how much better off Lisa would be if she were to date a man—date Kaeya.
Jean takes a deep breath, clearing her mind from the thoughts of her lover with a man, she can’t get distracted, especially with her line of work. So, with a clear mind, or at least as clear as she can get it, she walks into her workplace. She can think of the mess in her life later, what matters now is making sure every patient in the hospital can walk out of there alive.
After a long and hard day of work Jean leaves the office, yawning as she makes her way home, thanks to her tiredness she doesn't really think much.
Arriving home after such a tiring day is usually a joy for Jean, she loves being wrapped up in her lover’s arms, but tonight it seems fight simply isn’t on her side. Kaeya is walking out of her house and past her, sending Jean a charming smile before leaving.
“Ah, Jean! Welcome home! I was wondering, since tomorrow is one of your days off, would you perhaps want to hang out with me and Kaeya? All three of us haven’t been able to hang out yet and I wanted you to get close with my best friend!”
Lisa genuinely seems so excited right now and Jean didn’t want to ruin it by saying no, besides, Jean did want to get to know Lisa’s best friend a little bit better.
“Of course, then I should head to bed early today, no? So I’ll be well rested for in the morning,”
“Don’t be silly, we’re gonna meet with him in the afternoon, during the morning I just want it to be me and you, I love spending quality time with you, Jean,” and from the smile on Lisa’s face Jean can tell that Lisa isn’t lying.
Ah, but now Jean has a whole nother problem to think about, she’s anxious thinking about how tomorrow will turn out. Hanging out with Kaeya? The one whom she thinks would be a good fit for Lisa? The same guy who Jean is scared makes Lisa more happy than Jean makes her. Yeah, she’s scared, so scared, but it had to be done eventually, right? It’s now or never. Or well, not now, but close to now.
“After dinner let’s have some you and me time, yeah? Then we can head to bed,”
Jean nods and smiles, that sounds nice, Lisa can probably tell how anxious she is, it’s not like Jean is hiding it well, or really even trying to hide it. The two eat dinner together, and then Lisa drags Jean to watch something with her on the tv, once again it’s another soap opera, one that Jean won’t pay attention to—or at least she normally wouldn’t pay attention to, but Lisa’s enthusiasm over these shows is what draws Jean in, she pays attention to the characters and the plot because she knows that Lisa will want to talk about the story in full when they’re finished, and talk they did—soon after they were done talking (they went on for hours) they headed to bed.
While Lisa is softly snoring next to her, Jean is thinking about tomorrow. The time spent with Lisa has definitely helped to calm Jean down, but not get rid of all her worries. She knows Lisa loves her and wouldn’t be breaking up with her any time in the near future, however sometimes Jean wishes Lisa fell in love with a guy so she could show the world her love. Sighing Jean forces herself to close her eyes and fall asleep, the day will come even if Jean stays awake the whole night, at least she can be well rested and try to be prepared for tomorrow.
Much like previous mornings she’s had Jean is woken up by soft kisses across her face, Lisa softly whispering in her ear to wake up. Groaning Jean rolls over to face Lisa, softly stroking her face before pulling her into a kiss.
“Love you,”
“Love you too, darling,”
Placing one more kiss on Jean’s lips Lisa heads off to the kitchen, to make breakfast like she does every morning. And once again, like the mornings previous to this one, Jean does her daily routine, getting ready for the day. Looking at herself in the mirror Jean takes a deep breath, she has this.
“There’s no use overthinking and worrying about something that’s going to happen no matter what, just take things how they come, you‘ve got this!”
After her quiet little motivation speech Jean heads to the kitchen, Lisa greets her and sets the plates next to each other. Sitting down next to each other, Jean can’t help but notice how happy and excited Lisa seems to be. She must have really wanted Kaeya and her to get along, huh?
“Oh, I was wondering where we were going to meet up with Kaeya in the afternoon?” Lisa grins at her.
“I was thinking… why not where we had our very first date? I can tell Kaeya all the embarrassing stories about you! And vice versa!”
“Our first date, huh? That’s so like you,”
Jean can’t help but let out a small laugh, because it is so like Lisa to do this, Jean really has fallen deep, hasn’t she? They spend their morning with each other's company, the worries that are normally in Jean’s head have faded—although sometimes they try to come back and torment her, only for Lisa to swoop in and reassure Jean of her love.
They’re watching another soap opera, Jean can’t help but stare at Lisa, she’s not even paying attention to the show—”I think I’m in love,”—comes out before she realizes it. Lisa looks up, a subtle blush coating her cheeks, a smile makes its way on her face before—”I think I'm in love too, darling,”—she leans in and places her lips on Jean’s. The kiss is sweet and gentle, but not less passionate than any hurried and rushed kiss, their kiss is filled with their love for each other.
The love for each other, it’s like the wind—it can be a gentle breeze when it wants to be, blowing through the sky, a nice feeling on your face, but it can also be a strong current, rough on your face but feels just as good as a gentle breeze. And the love they feel for each other, the feelings they hold close and dear are being poured out into this kiss.
Pulling away they look at each other, smiling in pure giddiness, silent ‘I love you’s’ are being said. Time feels as if it’s sitting still as they stay there cuddled together, and maybe they could’ve stayed there for the rest of their lives being happy if it wasn't for the fact they have to meet with Kaeya in thirty minutes.
“Let’s head out, it takes about 20 minutes to get there, there may be traffic too so we should leave now so we’re not late,” Lisa groans.
“Can’t we just cancel and have a nice day inside?”
“We can’t Lisa, that’s rude. C’mon, put your shoes on,”
“But I don’t waaaannnnaaa,” even with her whining Lisa gets up and puts on her shoes.
The couple get into their car and drive off to their first date together, at a small cafe named ‘Dawn Cafe’ weirdly enough it’s where Diluc works. Going into this Jean has to admit she was worried, but now she’s a little more confident, and looking forward to it just a bit more. Walking into the cafe a rush of air hits Jean's face and she can smell all the freshly baked pastries. Looking around Jean finds Kaeya in the back of the cafe, eating what looks to be a bagel, walking over to the table Lisa hugs him and sits next to Jean.
This isn’t as bad as Jean has originally assumed, they talk for a bit and get to know each other, Lisa being the bridge between the two. Lisa telling funny stories about Kaeya makes Jean laugh, while when Lisa tells stories about Jean it makes her blush in embarrassment.
“Please excuse me,”
Jean goes to the bathroom in the cafe, this is actually going pretty well! She’s not as anxious as she was when she first came here, that’s good. Jean finds herself looking forward to the day and what it has to bring. Exiting the bathroom Jean looks to where their table is, a frown replacing her smile, looking at them, just the two of them, they really do look like a couple, don’t they?
Jean has to build up the courage to walk up to them because the sight in front of her wants to make her run away, she wishes she could give that to Lisa. Lisa deserves to be able to hold hands with her lover, and kiss them for everyone to see.
“I’m back,”
Jean hopes neither of them notice her change of behavior, that they don’t notice she’s about to burst in tears. She wants to make Lisa happy, give her everything she wants in the world, is she able to do that? Jean was so excited too, she was looking forward to this… Lisa was looking forward to this, did she ruin this for Lisa? Looking over at her girlfriend Jean sees her looking at her with worry in her eyes.
Reaching out Jean holds Lisa’s hand, resting her head on Lisa’s shoulder.
“I think we left the oven on,”
Jean apologizes to Lisa in their head, that’s their code word for I want to get out of this situation as fast as possible. Jean knows she’ll have to explain later why she wanted to leave but right now all she wants is to get away. Go home and be with Lisa, staying together on that small couch of theirs watching those soap operas that Lisa loved so dearly.
“Ah, we should probably go check that, sorry to end this hangout on such a short notice,”
Kaeya assures them that it’s no worry and that he himself has something else he needs to do anyways. Going into their car Jean leans on the wonder taking deep breaths trying to calm herself down, what even made her panic so badly? Thinking back on it she realizes it isn’t just the thought of Kaeya and Lisa looking like a couple, no. It’s everyone else seeing them as a couple that made her panic.
“I’m sorry Lisa, there were just so many people and I just started panicking, I know you were looking forward to today, I’m sorry for rui-” Jean’s cut off with a kiss before Lisa starts driving to their home.
“You didn’t ruin the day whatsoever, okay, Jean? It was so much fun and I enjoyed myself, you didn’t ruin anything. You never ruin anything, okay? I love you so much Jean, you don’t ever need to apologize for using our code word, okay?” And the look in Lisa’s eyes made Jean know that she isn’t lying.
“Thank you, I needed that,”
“You’re welcome darling,”
The drive back to their house is silent, a comfortable one that lulls Jean to sleep, maybe today she just took too big of a step. She’ll take baby steps from now on.
Entering their home the couple takes a shower together, Lisa whispering praises to Jean, telling her how lucky she is to have such a wonderful girlfriend.
“I love you darling,” and the way Lisa says it makes Jean blush, a shy smile on her face.
“I love you,”
The girlfriends fall onto the couch, sharing chaste kisses as Lisa turns on the tv to watch yet another soap opera—this one being about a couple who were forbidden lovers, they couldn’t show the world how much they loved each other. Had to hide away in fear of getting killed, it ended in a tragedy of both lovers committing suicide. As sad and tragic as this is, it kind of reminds Jean of Lisa and her, will they ever be able to show people how much they’re in love with each other?
Once again, like many nights after they finish a soap opera Lisa talks and talks about it, the characters and the plot. What could’ve been done to improve it and what was done to perfection, and Jean just listens, giving her little input here and there, but she just loves to listen to her girlfriend. Jean thinks, if given the chance, she could probably listen to Lisa talk about soap operas for the rest of her life. Anything Lisa is passionate about really.
Looking at the time Jean realizes it’s almost one in the morning.
“We should head to bed, it’s getting pretty late, I have work tomorrow,” letting a lawn slip out the couple head to their bed.
Falling asleep in her lover’s embrace Jean can’t help but think how lucky she truly is.
_____
Jean can feel a feathlight touch on her lips and a soothing feeling on her back, waking up a bit when she realizes it’s Lisa rubbing her back in a circular motion.
“Morning sleepyhead,” it’s said playfully as Lisa kisses her.
“Morning,”
Doing her daily routine Jean is surprised when she isn’t interrupted by Lisa’s phone ringing with Kaeya being the caller id. Walking to the kitchen breakfast is already set out, sausage and eggs with a side of toast. They usually eat light in the morning but later on eat more filling meals, Lisa takes a seat next to her. It’s such a repetitive cycle and yet Jean enjoys every second she spends with Lisa, even through everything that would seem boring Lisa makes it bright and entertaining.
With a kiss goodbye Jean is off to work, just another day on the job, another day saving lives with a smile on her face Jean is ready for the day—or so it would seem.
The day is one of the worst days Jean has had in a while, a total of five long time patients have died. Jean is broken because their souls will forever be stuck in this hospital. All she wants right now is to be with Lisa, to be held in her arms and cry all her sorrow away.
Arriving home is a surprise, looking around Jean can’t find Lisa, tear after tear is falling and Jean is strong but she’s not that strong. She needs Lisa, she needs her right now to be next to her, to hug her and tell her that it's not her fault and that she did all she could. Reaching for her phone Jean calls Lisa, sniffling as she tries to compose herself.
“Hello? Love?”
“Hey, where- where are you right now? You’re usually home by this hour so I was just wondering…” Jean trails off, what is she wondering? If Lisa could just drop what she’s doing and come to Jeans aid?
“Oh, I’m hanging out with Kaeya right now! Do you need me to come home?” Yes, please do.
“No, it’s okay! I was just wondering where you were is all, since you’re usually home I was just worried,” Jeans ends it with a little laugh, can Lisa tell how nervous she is?
“I’m going to probably stay up for a bit before heading to bed, goodnight!” Without waiting for her girlfriend to respond Jean hangs up, the tears now being free to fall.
Sob after sob heave out as she heads to the where they store their alcohol, wiping the tears from her face she opens a bottle and pours some into a glass. Soon enough she pushes the glass aside and just drinks out the bottle, she’s drunk, and sad, and heartbroken, and she just wants to not think. And so she does just think, Jean drinks and drinks until she’s not able to think about much anymore.
_____
Lisa bites her lip as the call ends, why would Jean hang up so suddenly? Looking over at Kaeya, Lisa begins to open her mouth but Kaeya puts a finger to her lips and smiles.
“Go ahead, she needs you more than I do right now,”
Lisa nods and heads to her car, driving home she can’t help but think about what could be wrong, could it be another Teppei situation? Or perhaps something else? Did Jean have a panic happen where Lisa wasn’t there to comfort her through it? The constant possibilities seem endless the more Lisa thinks about it. So she stops thinking, if only for a few moments, driving the rest of the way in silence.
Heading inside her home Lisa looks around, she hears Jean before she sees her. Hears heartbreaking sobs, and the sound of glass shattering. Running to where the sound is Lisa sees Jean on the floor with wine spilt all over her, tears streaking down her face. Rushing over to Jean’s side Lisa holds her to her chest, hugging her in a tight reassuring hold. Once the crying has calmed down a bit Lisa goes to get Jean some water, upon returning she finds Jean crying once more.
Lisa is about to ask what’s wrong to comfort her but—“Lisa shouldn’t love me anymore,”—this shocks Lisa, the thought of her girlfriend thinking this breaks her.
“Whatever do you mean love?”
“Whenever I see her and Kaeya together I can’t help but think that she should’ve fallen in love with a man, so she wouldn’t have to hide her feelings and so she could show her love to the world. I want to be able to give her everything that she wants but I can’t give her that. When people look at us they’re only ever going to see us as close friends, never lovers” Jean’s crying gets harder and Lisa’s hold only tightens.
Lisa helps her up and makes her drink the water before guiding her to the bedroom and onto the bed. Grabbing the garbage can she brings it to the edge of the bed where Jean’s head is.
“The garbage is right here, okay? If you ever feel like you need to throw up just throw up here,” nodding Jean closes her eyes.
“You must be so tired love, let’s head to bed,”
Lisa climbs over Jean to get into bed, choosing to sleep on the side where the wall is so Jean has easy access when she needs to throw up. Wrapping her arms around Jean she gently kisses her neck, promising herself in the morning to get to the root of this.
_____
As Jean comes to she feels a searing pain in her head, groaning as she tries to think about what happened yesterday. She doesn’t really remember much of the night before, only small blobs of memory arise when she tries to think, like puzzle pieces not yet connected.
“You’ve finally woken up it seems,”
Looking up Jean sees Lisa with a glass of water and pills in her hands, without saying anything she takes the pills, drinking them down with the water. Lisa sits down next to her on the bed and hugs her, without knowing what brought this on Jean returns the hug.
“Y’know, the reason I was hanging out with Kaeya so much—other than the obvious reasons of him being my best friend—is that he was helping me figure out how to come out to people. I’m tired of hiding who I love from everyone, I want to show the world just how much I love you. If you’ll let me, of course,” Lisa gives her a shy smile and Jean can’t help but return it.
Jean laughs, a hearty, happy laugh.
“I was so scared I wasn’t able to give you what men could give you, but it looks like you’ve already figured that out, huh?”
The two share a laugh together, sharing a kiss in between them.
“I love you so much Lisa,”
“I know you do, darling, but I love you more,”
“Even more than those cheesy soap operas you make me watch?”
“Even more than those (not at all) cheesy soap operas I make you watch,”
The two have much to talk about and much to plan out, but they'll be in it together, what more could they ever want or ask for?
