In the middle of Verdant there are three different superhero factions. The Green Arrow with Spartan, Arsenal, Flash, Killer Frost, Vibe, Atom and Canary stand off to one side of the dance floor while the Agents of SHIELD with Agent May, Quake, Simmons, Fitz and Coulson are about 20 ft away by the dance floor and Stargate Atlantis with Lt Col John Sheppard, Dr. Rodney McKay, Col. Samantha Carter and Ronon Dex are on the opposite side of the building. Felicity walks in while looking in her purse and does not notice the other people there.
The Green Arrow looks at her with a small smile on his face because she is oblivious and says ”Overwatch.”
Felicity with a strange look on her face because he used her code name instead of her given name says “I know, I know, I’m sorry I’m late. I know they are going to be here in a ½ an hour but….”
Felicity trails off as she looks up and around the room and sees all the heroes there. “Oh, hello” she says as she continues to go towards her team. She goes over to a table to put her purse down and takes her place in between Spartan and the Green Arrow.
“Thank you for being early, I took the liberty to order lunch for us it should be here shortly.”
All of the sudden someone starts laughing which is confusing everyone but then the person says, “Damn Fee, you are the only person I know that can be a ½ hour early but still thinks you’re 15 minutes late. Glad to see that some things don’t change.”
Felicity looks over to where the voice was coming from. She gets a great big smile on her face that is almost blinding and starts to run over to the person yelling joyfully, “Skye!! Oh my god, what are you doing here!!” Felicity reaches Skye and jumps into her arms and hugs her. Skye catches her and groan, “Oh my god, get off! You’ve gained weight!” Felicity jumps off of Skye and they both start talking at the same time. Asking and answering questions without a taking a breath it seems.
They all of the sudden they are hugging again and still talking faster than anyone can keep up. Everyone watches in bafflement. Coulson looks at May and says, “Huh, there is two of them.” May shakes her head and smiles.
Just then Felicity notices a person she also knows two people away from Skye. “Fitz, your here too?” Felicity asks with confusion and gives him a brief hug. “How are you? Your mom said you were in some kind of accident but didn’t know the details. Are you ok now?”
While Fitz give an accounting of what has happened since they last saw each other, a very tall muscularly built man saunters over to where Felicity is. He waits for her to notice him but gets impatient.
“I don’t know if I should feel insulted that you haven’t noticed me yet or grateful so I can just keep looking at you.”
“Dex?”
“Hey baby girl” he says as he lowers his lips to hers
“Hey” she starts but is interrupted by his kiss. She lets him kiss her and she is enjoying it until her mind catches up with her. She pushes on his check and he backs away immediately.
“NO, no, no, no, no, no. You go stand on your side of the room. Goddamn cat nip…”
“What did you call him?” Skye asks
“Catnip” Dex says. “She says that I am her own personal brand of cat nip. Still haven’t figured out what that means yet but It can’t be all bad.”
All the while Team Arrow is watching this. They have never seen Felicity act this way before with anyone. Diggle and Sara are looking on with amusement, while Roy is looking on with horror that Felicity was making out with some stranger and Oliver with his expression stony. How dare someone man handle Felicity like that.
Skye starts jumping up and down, “Oh, oh, oh… Is this wall guy?” she asks.
“No, this is not wall guy.” Felicity says
“It has to be.”
“No, its not. And shut up about wall guy”
Everyone is trying to understand the conversation but only Dex asks, “Who is wall guy?”
“None of your business.” Felicity says while Skye says, “I think it’s you”
Felicity keeps protesting and arguing with Skye until Skye says, “I can solve this problem.” Felicity looks at her with suspicious eyes. “How?”
Skye asks Dex, “Are you not the one who hauled her up and fucked her against the wall?”
Felicity makes a squeaking noise and places her hands over Skye’s mouth. Somewhere by her friends there is a scoff of disbelief and Sara is just laughing loud and boisterously. Felicity looks back at her and she gives her a thumbs up.
“Skye, I swear to god I am going to change your name to Gertrude. He is NOT wall guy.”
“Yeah, no” Dex says, “I am not the wall guy.”
“See, NOT wall guy!” Felicity says as she removes her hands from Skye’s mouth.
“Oh, I really thought you were.”
“No, I am the chair guy, the table guy, the counter guy”
“RONON!” Felicity yells, “If I were you I would be quiet right now!”
Skye looks between Felicity and Dex and says, “Oh no, someone is in trouble.”
Felicity throws her hands up and says, “Oh for fucks sake!”
Everyone looked at Felicity. They had never heard her swear before.
Just as Dex was saying, “Ok, Ok, Ok” while having his hands up in a placating manor, he starts saying he is sorry until Skye says, “AAAAAAHHHHHH, you are 18 hour guy. I never have ever seen her that relaxed, so thank you for that, you made finals so much easier for her since you shut her mind down.”
Skye gets a glint in her eyes, “Soooooooooooo” she draws out the word, “ How many times did you end up doing it?”
At the same time Felicity and Dex spoke.
Felicity, “That is none of your business.”
Dex, “13”
“What? No! Why would you answer her? And it wasn’t 13”
“I answered because she asked. I am not ashamed of what we have done. And it was 13!”
“It was not!” Felicity says with exasperation.
“Yes it was!” Dex says with certainty”.
“No. You are counting the shower twice and you can’t. It was once per location not orgasm.”
“If I counting the shower twice, then you’re not counting the dining room table.”
“The dining room table was no …….” She stops mid sentence, mid word and starts smiling like no one has ever seen her smile before. Very bright and a little filthy.
They look at each other with an amused look on their face smiling big. They both look at Skye and say “12.”
While Felicity adds, “Not like it is any of your business and we are no longer going to speak of my sex life. This is mortifying.” She starts walking over to her heroes who are looking at her funny.
“What? I had a life before I met you guys.”
Sara looks at her and high fives her, “Sounds like an awesome sex life.”
Felicity looks at her, smiles and says, “Oh you have no idea.”
She looks at Sara, grabs her arm. Walks over to Skye and grabs her arm and says “Ok, that’s it. We are leaving.”
While they walk over to the bar Ray looking horrified asks, “Where are you going?”
Felicity continues walking, “To grab a bottle of wine, a bottle of tequila and going to the VIP area. I am not needed.” Felicity looks at Jemma and then at Killer Frost “We are going upstairs to the VIP room while the men talk business. Would you like to come too? You are more than welcome to. Hey Sam, you know where to find us when you’re done.”
Col. Samantha Carter, “Yes ma’am Ms. Goddess, I will do that.”
Felicity cringes and says, “That was years ago. Please do not call me that anymore.”
Samantha looks at her with an innocent face, “But it what we have to call you. You insisted and wouldn’t answer to anything else.”
Felicity looks sheepish, “Yeah, let’s forget that ever happened please.”
Barry speaks up when they get closer to the stairs, “Felicity you are the smartest person in the room, of course we need you here.”
Felicity smiles at Barry, ”When Dr. McKay is here, then I am the second smartest person in the room. Dr. McKay’s IQ is far higher than mine.”
“Thank you my dear Ms. Smoak. It is a pleasure seeing you again.”
”You are welcome Doctor. The pleasure is always mine.”
The women are almost at the stairs when Dex decides to be an ass. “Hey baby girl, I hate to see you go but I love to watch you leave.”
Felicity gives him a withering look when she says, “Yeah we figured that out years ago when you wrote your poem.”
“It was an ode not a poem. Plus it still holds true.”
Canary stops climbing the stairs, “Oh, I’ve got to hear this”
Killer Frost “Me too”
Vibe who has been quiet up until this point says “Me three!”
Canary asks since she like causing trouble, “Hey Dex, what did you write an ode to?”
Felicity says her name in a warning manner, “Canary”
“I wrote and Ode about her ass. Have you not seen it? It is spectacular. Especially when she wears jeans or she has this gray dress with a belt…”
Felicity cuts him off, “Damn it are you quite finished pissing me off yet or are you going for the full gambit?”
Felicity finally is at the stairs and walking up them when Dex says worriedly, “Hey hold up.” He runs over to Felicity and speaks softly to her. “Hey, we are ok aren’t we?”
Since she as a few steps up, it put her face to face with him. She places a hand on the side of his face which he turns his cheek into
“Yeah, we are ok.”
“Ok, good. I know I can go overboard sometimes.”
“Sometimes?”
Lt Col. Sheppard says at just after her, “Sometimes??????”
“Thank you Shep.”
“No problem, Meg.”
Felicity looks at the Green Arrow, “I’ll let you heroes get to your meeting.” And finishes climbing up the stairs.
Dex walks over to his team. When crossing the floor he goes past the Green Arrow. Dex hears GA speak to him lowly, “You may want to treat her with more respect, she deserves it.”
Dex eyes him angrily and in a hushed voice states, “Respect. You don’t get to speak to me about respect. Your type of respect gets her calling me in the middle of the night crying because of false declarations of love. Your respect has me healing her after Russia, declarations that you can’t be with anyone you could care about, self doubt because of that stupid ass remark when you have a canary that she gets shot for.” Dex starts getting worked up and gets a little louder but not loud enough for the girls to hear him. “Then it’s you will always be my girl and I love you again for real but can’t be with you. So if you want to talk about respect you have an awful lot to learn. If you ever, (raising his voice) EVER make her feel unlovable, replaceable and have her second guessing herself and self doubt as to what is wrong with her because obviously there is something wrong because how could she still be alone and unloved at this point in her life, I am coming for you and I am breaking at least one of your legs. Ya understand me. I know who you are and it wasn’t Fee who told me. I asked her a couple of time and she said it was not her secret to tell. I am sick and tired of fixing what you break. If I could she would move to Atlantis with me and have the family she is wanting.”
Arsenal steps forward before the Green Arrow can reply. He holds out his hand to Dex and says, “Roy Harper, Arsenal, thank you. Thank you for taking care of her and protecting her. She’s like a sister to me and I am glad to know someone else has her back.”
“Always”
Felicity looks down from the balcony. “Hey why is everyone just standing around still? Dex, why are you by the Green Arrow? Move. Go. Your side of the room, now.”
