Summary
Macau isn't stupid, okay? He knows what he was meant to be. A rival to his hia, someone to keep Vegas on his toes with the threat of replacement.
He’s sitting in math class when the text with the code phrase comes from Vegas. Something big is happening, and Macau knows that he needs to make sure he isn't made into something else - a hostage to ensure Vegas' good behavior. He waits for the bell to ring and then takes his bag and slips out of the back entrance of his school, where there is no guard at this time of day. There's a safehouse no one else knows about, except him and Vegas and Papa. When it's safe, someone will come for him there.
