Summary
Konoha’s shinobi clans are the blood that keeps the village’s heart beating, pillars of political stability that have sustained this well-oiled machine since the founding era. It is among these dynastic echelons that a shinobi’s last name can seal their fate, or be the hot iron with which it is forged. When Hyuuga Hiashi disinherits his eldest daughter in order to pursue an advantageous political marriage, local interloping heiress Yamanaka Ino finds herself shoehorned into the role of savior and scapegoat alongside Konoha’s most eligible bachelor: Uchiha Itachi.
But what begins as an innocent game meant to help a friend spirals into a web of blood debts and old grudges lurking beneath the veneer of clan formalities. Ino soon learns the lengths to which Konoha’s ruling classes will go to hold on to power, and that all blood, noble or not, spills the same.
