Summary
Before Vaemond Velaryon challenged Lucerys' claim - King Viserys requested that members of both the Black and Green factions would gather to perform a sacred Valyrian ritual for the God Syrax. Only, another intervened.
Tessarion, Goddess of prophecy, bestowed upon them a gift of visions, a curse of dragondreams. Helpless, they bore witness.
Vile plots - treason - bloody deaths - pain - suffering. Their bleak fates were revealed. And with it, perhaps a chance was created to change the calamities to come. For Tessarion had exposed an even greater secret. One that would decide if their descendants would emerge victorious. Or, if a great evil would cover the world in an everlasting Winter.
A pact of Ice and Fire balanced precariously. For the song to triumph and humanity as well as Gods to survive, a promised prince must come from the correct bloodline.
