Seokjin’s expression softened a little as he added some sauce. “I’m sure you did, Yoongi, I’m not trying to make you feel bad. Just trying to make things easier.”
“Really, that’s what you’re trying to do?” Yoongi scoffed angrily. “Funny way of showing it. Is this what they teach you when you grow up with money? Poor people can’t help themselves, can’t survive without the ‘charity’ of the rich? We didn’t ask for easier.”
“Hmm, kind of seems like you did,” Seokjin said with a small smile as the microwave buzzed behind him. “After all, he stole a truck filled with suppressants.”
“He stole a truck,” Yoongi said quietly. “He didn’t anticipate the suppressants being there.”
“But he stole a truck,” Seokjin said, as if it was the simplest explanation in the world, as if that ended all discussion. Yoongi chose to let the topic drop, because arguing with the ignorant wealthy had never served him well before.
