Summary
Tom Riddle Jr is unhappy to be dragged back from his life in the States just to fulfil some archaic family tradition of marrying a complete stranger. He never wanted anything to do with his mother's family since all of them were a bunch of nutcases, but despite his protests, he was forced to "preserve the bloodline" which per his maternal grandfather was the only reason he and his uncle didn't kill Tom's father when they found out that Merope ran off with a Muggle.
