He left. After years and years of being grasped by Gotham's cold hands. Tortured, betrayed, killed, resurrected. After all the pain and suffering and loss--he left. After leaving a mark on Crime Alley everyone would remember, as the day they lost Red Hood. Jason is resurrected once again. Though, this time is figurative. He goes to New York. He goes to a [rather prestigious] school. As a lecturer. He becomes:
''Jace. Jace Harper, nice to meet you all. I'm your new literature teacher.''

Neal was no longer Neal. At least for the next few hours he wasn't. Business as usual. A little bit of a White Collar problem, mixed with some of his undercover work. Nothing new.
