   Everyone has that voice in the back of their head — the one that cautions, provokes, casts judgment, urges action or inaction. Ashton’s has never exactly been his greatest fan. It was vicious, bitter, and gleefully happy to twist the knife. And it always, always made sure to remind him how much better off everyone would be as long as he remained alone.
