Perry the Platypus carefully glided through thick foliage, holding on to his hat to make sure it wasn't picked up by a branch. Finally, the path of brambles and weeds ended, giving way to a wonderful field dotted with tall trees. Truffula trees. He was here. He could see him. Perry lept forward with a burst of speed, the idea of seeing his lover elevating h
his pulse. the view of an orange mustache sent butterflies on a mission to his abdomen. he couldnt wait to hold his love in his arms. his excitement grew, filling his heart to the brim. he could barely stand it.
he ran, shouting as he neared the stump where his love stood.
"Lorax!" his voice quivered with emotion.
his love turned. "Perry?"
Perry flushed and quickly cleared his throat.
"I- I've missed you. I-"
The beautiful man crashed into the platypus, berating him with kisses.
"Never again Perry. Please never leave me again."
Perry felt his stoic demeanour crumple at the sight of his one true love, his soulmate so terrified.
Perry realized what he must have been thinking.
The Lorax hadn't even known if he would ever see him again.
"Im so so sorry my love." Perry relented. "I promise. They cant pull us apart anymore."
The Lorax exhaled a breath. "I love you so much Perry. I-"
He stepped back. "I was going to do this at a better time but... Perry the platypus... will you marry me???"
