It would have spared her the embarrassment during all the times where Touya would catch her longing gaze crawling upon him and his partner as Akito would throw an arm around him. It would have spared her the regret that slithered up and down her body when she heard them sing together, knowing her selfish thoughts were of her own making; she hadn’t asked Akito to team up in time.
Now…she’d forgotten what that pain felt like.
