    The sight nearly took Astarion’s breath away. Gale was a vision on his knees, stray strands of hair sticking to his forehead and the sides of his face, the way those dark eyes burned with resolve as droplets of water trickled down his face.

    The last semester had kept Gale and Astarion apart; they focused on the pursuit of knowledge rather than the pursuit of each other.
