POV : CuteGuy
₊‧.°.⋆✮⋆.°.‧₊
There was a heavy downpour of the city of hermittopia. And Cuteguy couldn't be any more upset about it.
He found himself on top of a building, carefully leaning against a wall hidden under a small awning, arms crossed in irritation and a scowl painted clearly on his face. It was a mix of the fact that Hotguy had asked to meet him on the top of said building, 20 minutes ago, and the rain
Rain ment his wings would get wet, and getting his wings meant he was at a disadvantage on patrols, which could put people in danger. He also just hated the rain in general, It was… gloomy
He had considered just going home, but Cuteguy ended up making the executive decision to stay put, as much as he was irritated Hotguy might actually need his help with something. In the event something was to happen before then Hotguy or cub could always contact him through the comm system. But until then he would wait.
And wait he did.
————————————————————————————————————
Cuteguy ended up waiting for an hour and forty seven minutes, he kept track, and now he was even more pissed. Not only had Hotguy practically ghosted him but the rain hadn't let up, in fact he was pretty sure it had gotten heavier.
CuteGuy pushed off the wall slightly, and held a hand out from under the awning. He was immediately met with a shower of rain. He quickly pulled his hand back, and shook it, attempting to get the water off it.
He thought for a moment and then brought his hand to his comm, he was met with static. “Hotguy?” he was met with silence and static, he paused before trying again “Hotguy?” and again there was no reply.
He took a deep inhale and mumbled irritatedly to himself
He held his breath for a moment more before giving a long exasperated sigh, he pinched the bridge of his nose as he contemplated just leaving and going home, at this point he wasn't very confident Hotguy would even show up, and his legs were starting to ache.
Cuteguy started to outstretch his wings but was abruptly stopped when he saw a sudden flash of blue and orange land next to the edge of the building he was on.
He paused for a moment before hastily tucking his wings against back. Hotguy had an arm over his visor, trying to block out the rain as he scanned the city below. He Seemingly hadn’t noticed him yet, which for some reason bothered him even more,
Cuteguy cleared his throat, loud enough Hotguy would hear him over the rain.
Hotguy jumped subtly before he whipped his head around. Hand still over his visor to block out the rain.
The second he and Hotguy made eye contact he spoke.
“Forgetting something?” Cuteguys voice was dripping with annoyance, if that didnt give away his current displeasure, his face would,
There were a few moments of loud silence, Hotguy seemed to be searching for a response.
Hotguy then started rubbing the back of his neck
“Sorry about that birdie, I got caught up wi-”
“An hour and forty seven minutes” Cuteguy cut him off
“What?”
Cuteguy crossed his arms, “You told me to meet you here an hour and forty seven minutes ago.”
Hotguy looked like a deer caught in the headlights, though at the same time he looked like he was trying his best not appear guilty
He opened his mouth to speak, but Cuteguy didn't want to hear whatever lame excuse he was going to try and use.
“You forgot. Didn't you?” Cuteguy rolled his eyes.
“I didn't forget!” Hotguy was quick to reply
“Then what were you doing?”
Hotguy paused for a moment before mumbling something under his breath.
“What was that?”
“I am doing interviews with fans.”
There was another brief pause.
“It's not as bad as it sounds I promise-”
“Oh for fucks sake” he started to spread his wings “I’m leaving.”
“Hey! Hey! Wait!’
Hotguy stepped toward him, waving his hands.
“I'm sorry!”
Cuteguy pause and let him continue.
“I didn’t mean to take that long, I promise, at first it was just a fan wanting a photo and then there were two, and before I knew it there was a crowd. And I tried to get a hold of you, let you know you could just go home, but the comms were cut off because of the rain.”
Cuteguy huffed “ya, I noticed.” he said dryly and looked away.
There was a lengthy silence, Hot Guy seemed stiff as he waited for something else.
Cuteguy let the sharp silence continue for a few moments longer before he looked back at Hotguy with a glare.
“What the hell did you even want to meet me for?” Despite his irritation he softened his tone.
Hotguy looked away and started rubbing the back of his neck again.
“If i'm being honest… I was just going to see if you wanted to scout together.” he paused for a moment “uh you know, just because there wasn't much going on, and I just thought it would pass that time”
Cuteguy cut him off before he could continue his ramble, he could practically feel his eye twitching.
“You're kidding.”
“Uhmm… no”
Cuteguy took a deep breath
“You could have done that yourself!” Cuteguys wings fluffed up angrily.
“I-”
“No, I'm serious!, you've wasted my time!, and my legs hurt!, so now im lea-”
Cuteguy paused
He looked at Hotguy, who ever so faintly resembled a kid being punished, as he should, Cuteguy was pissed, and his legs really hurt. So now Cuteguy felt petty.
“You know what, I won't leave.”
Hotguy perked up slightly. He was about to speak and once more Cuteguy cut him off.
“BUT, since you made me stand here, in the cold, alone, you can go stand in the rain and scout by yourself.”
Cuteguy could see Hotguys expression immediately drop, even behind his rain-covered visor.
“And, I hope you know i'll be complaining the whole time, just so you can feel like a horrible person”
Hotguy gave up, he sighed and turned away, he walked over to the ledge and knelt down
Cute guy huffed and leaned back onto the wall, He turned to look look at the extensive view of the rain covered city
————————————————————————————————————
The two stayed silent for a while, Cuteguy had made a few snappy comments at the start but felt like at that point he had been petty enough.
Cuteguy shifted his gaze to Hotguy, who was still looking over the city.
The rain had started to grow heavier as well.
He watched for a few moments, he noticed how Hotguy trying his best to cover his visor, which was covered in droplets of water. He kept pushing his sopping hair out of his face and it was obvious he was completely soaked.
Cuteguy took a sharp breath in… maybe had been a little harsh, he was upset for sure but it wasn't necessarily Hotguys fault.
He waited for a moment, lingering in his thoughts before he pushed off the wall.
He hesitated at the edge of the awning for a moment, but took a step out. He was immediately met with a rush of water, he was almost instantly soaked. Though he continued toward the edge to stand next to Hotguy.
————————————————————————————————————
Hotguy was knelt on the edge of the building, frustration etched into his face as he tried to scout and keep the rian out of his face at the same time.
Suddenly the rush of rain stopped.
He quickly looked up and was met with the view of the black and pink feathers.
He turned his head to see Cuteguy standing above him, he had his arms crossed and was looking down onto the city as well now. And, Even through the heavy rain, Cuteguy seemed to have the faintest flush of pink paint on his face.
Hotguy blinked a few times and smiled to himself before he looked back down on the city, now scanning the streets below with much more ease.
And for the rest of the time Neither of them said anything, they just stood together.
