Summary
Canon divergence from the scene in Chong Wu Camp, where Pei Sijing and Zhao Yuanzhou found out about Bai Jiu being a spy.
This fic was born from me wanting to further explore Bai Jiu and Zhao Yuanzhou's relationship.
In canon, we always see Zhao Yuanzhou scaring and/or bullying Bai Jiu, but we can also clearly see how much he cared about him. This fic is based on that.“Leave,” repeated Zhao Yuanzhou with a small, reassuring smile, “I’m a demon, remember? I can teleport on my own. Leave first, I’ll take care of everything here, don’t worry, I won’t hurt Xiao Jiu.”
The weapons tore through his clothes, plunging deep into his flesh, one of them piercing straight through his middle dantian, right where his inner core is.
