Chapter Text
CHAE-YEONG’S POV
I eventually got off the bus and away from those three, hoping I got my own dorm as it was mentioned there were single-person dorms. Of course, those were only for the Fae, for some reason, and I got stuck with a four person dorm. With those three. Again.
When I walked in with my stuff in a few bags (my parents kept more so they could either send it overtime, or would probably just pawn it off for gambling money) and looked up, I noticed all of them. Sage and Bai on one side of the room, and Lyric, that damn Pixie, on the top bunk. She looked down at me and immediately got a smile that was so weirdly.. cute? No, Chae, no. She is not cute and will never be. Nope.
I set my stuff down next to the bottom bunk on the right side of the room, laying down facing the wall and trying not to socialize, but Lyric sat on my bed behind me, looking down.
“Didn’t realize you got bunked with us, Chai!”
“Yeah, me neither, Pixie.”
“My name’s Lyric!”
“And you keep calling me CHAI!”
The arguing between us kept going until Sage spoke up, arranging his stuff.
“Can we maybe not argue on our first day? We have classes tomorrow and I don’t want that tension between us..” He spoke up, a medium-sized bust statue of Pomona in his hands. I huffed, begrudgingly but silently agreeing, Lyric flying back up to the top bunk.
“Fine, doesn’t mean I’m going to be friends with you lot, though.”
“That’s fine, as long as we aren’t constantly arguing is all I care about for now.” Sage spoke after me, his small goat tail moving a bit.
“Hey, maybe we can be friends, I can see it in the future..” Bai said, lying on the top bunk, staring at the ceiling.
“Can you though, Tiresias?”
“.. Not literally, and my name is Bai, not Tiresias.”
“Don’t care, that’s your nickname from me now.” I said, eventually ending up asleep while the others continued to talk to each other like they’d been friends for years, which they probably had. I was the odd-one-out, but when was I not?
