Death, death would come for them all eventually. This was something Shepherd accepted long before he had entered Barovia, although he had thought he could lead them all out of the hell that was Barovia. But when he watched the only person he care about be consumed in fire of course he chased them, love made Silas Morgan a selfish man. As the flames consumed their bodies, Gherix revealed himself, he offered a trade to Shepherd. A second chance.
And now he wasn't in Barovia, he wasn't in Stryga, hells he wasn't even on Avantris anymore. Instead Shepherd found himself on the Rhapsody, a large ship owned by a man named Rett and his partner Pyke.
